Donald Trump has survived an assassination bid in Pennsylvania. A lone gunman fired multiple shots from an assault rifle at the Republican candidate nominee. The officials from India’s only private sector maker of sniper rifles analysed the footage of the incident. They discuss how Trump had a providential escape. His security detail missed seeing the shooter on the rooftop just 150 metres away from Trump’s podium. Trump ducked the first bullets, following which the sniper was neutralised by counter-sniping units. The experts discuss how the shooter’s choice of weapon, an AR-15 type assault rifle, and not a hunting rifle, possibly saved Trump from that lethal first shot.
