I agree with the above replies, what I see as the biggest problem is justice is not being served. our cities were burned and looted people walking out of store with full baskets, and being allowed to get away with it. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was total shit show. The border wide-open & all they keep talking about is January 6th. All of this is so off point people now have no faith in democracy and definitely not this administration that is seen by many as total failure

Thank you so much for your words. They were right on. I appreciate it because it says what we should be saying. This guy is too in awe of McConnell. He’s protecting what McConnell did -which was wrong. He led s party of cowards. I see McConnell as our worst player. He wasn’t ever working for the people. He is responsible for alot of the hatred that came then and has only got worse- leading us to a candidate like Trump. McConnell came out when Obama won to show his displeasure and rally support AGAINST a president who won. McConnell should never have shown his racism. That -in my opinion- is behind these particular statements. And McConnell deserves what happened to his party because of what HE did. What Trump did is worse. He committed crimes. And a party who refused to stand up to tyranny will be destroyed by those who stay silent.

The most dreadful part of this "let's move on" is that those who want to move on are shifting accountability for the problem by putting the responsibility for resolution on someone else. This doesn't work practically anywhere else in life, yet we're suppose to see it work here. Trump's supporters had years to solve the problem that is him and they never did. Now the "fit hits the shan" and they want the rest of us to "move on".

He recognizes in situations and in people things that sadly, many do not even realize the importance of (A) The ability to have that sense of recognition and (B) Just what he is recognizing in situations and people that makes said recognition so valuable. I can go on for days breaking down each point he made and why, not to mention why isn't anyone else with a platform that can reach the ears of the masses of voters?!?!? It's more than a breath of fresh air, it's more like the feeling you get when you're under water and it seems like it's the end but then suddenly you've been saved and that first inhale you make, how sweet is that breath that you know saved you... At least I know that I'm not in the twilight zone where everything is backwards. The government is a body of the PEOPLE and WE ARE THE PEOPLE!! Democracy and Diplomacy isn't respected and expected like it used to be, why? Absolutely correct. He also said "and if you don't fight like hell, when you wake up in the morning you won't have a country." Yet it troubles me that so many people were prosecuted and jailed. I say that because I believe that these people actually thought that our country and way of life and our "almost sacred" right to have free and fair elections, had been compromised. And that the perpetrators were about to get away with it! Yes, Trump had the crowd riled up! (I assume the ones who weren't buying Trumps bullshit, did not participate in the violence.) The constitution warns of this sort of thing happening and provides a pathway for Americans to fight, if necessary, to protect our rights even if we have to fight our own government. Should they have believed that President Trump was was not serious about how dire the situation was and that he was just kidding? Well, he was our President! If they shouldn't have believed him, who should they believe? The one who should be in jail is Trump, not the ones who followed his orders. He should have, at the very minimum, been barred from ever again holding public office. If you or I went into a crowded theater and yelled "FIRE" when there was no fire, we would have to go to jail, especially if it resulted in people being killed or injured or there was property damage or loss of income because the theater had to give refunds to everybody who bought tickets. There would likely also be a stipulation that in the future, the perp is not allowed in the theater anymore or risk being arrested again. Some sort of punishment would be given. Right? But, you wouldn't punish the people who bought the movie tickets! You punish the person who yelled "fire."

As in, a mortal threat to America that needed to be opposed at all costs. Luntz helped plant the seeds of deep division and polarization that took off in the 1990s. He provided the accelerant for the fire that Republicans lit at that time, turning neighbor against neighbor with "wedge issues." He has zero credibility and a huge amount of culpability for today's dysfunctional and damaging politics. The living embodiment of the term "partisan hack."

Immaturity, retardation , mineral deficiencies, incestuous parentage, cult imprisoned persons; is that what has happened to these Americans that they don't appreciate freedom? They seem resentful, ungrateful and vengeful, wallowing in victimhood , which is DJT's essence. It makes sense they would latch on to him as their leader. He seems fueled by hatred and it sounds like these followers really are of his psychological kind. Bet DJT was pretty happy when he realized what he'd fallen into. It is the same people, with the same issues, radicalized by a certain monied class that wanted to use populism to get the votes necessary to keep their taxes low and to deregulate industries so they can increase profits at the detriment to our health and safety. Frank Luntz was on the cutting edge of how to manufacture a narrative to sell to these people so they would continue to vote against their interests. I used to work in marketing. I know just how these Lutz people work. They find code words and key phrases to get people to open up to them. Trump does this too, but he does it out of a reptilian instinct instead of using psychological principles. These 74 million have been sold a lemon, they're going for the con, the flimflam. But key to the agenda that is being sold is that it is someone else taking their shit. It is the brown people, or the immigrants, or the women, or the Muslims, or the gay people, all of these groups want to end their culture and take their jobs and educational opportunities. The communist professors are stealing their children and indoctrinating them has changed to the elites are taking babies and farming them for hormones. The crazy started with people like Luntz. Don't pretend that his audience are the forgotten people, they have been running this shit for hundreds of years, and when other people demand equality that feels like oppression if you think you've been in control over it.

What a "moving" sentiment! Reconciliation, not revenge. Luntz is close to 60 years old, so he has been doing his polling games for a while. Where was the GOP's sense of "let's move on" during the Clinton impeachment, for (what seems to me to be) a lesser and more personal infringement? When did any of them say, "Clinton has lied under oath about his personal sex life, but who doesn't"? There was less to reconcile in that case; there were no people dead as a direct result in that case. So, why the double standard? Nah, Luntz is a fraud, in that he is still at heart an apologist for the Republicans, despite his attempted "I'm no Republican any longer" whiteout.

Frank, all this had happened before. It happened in Spain, it happened in Italy, it happened in Germany. What you meant to say was that it had not happened here in the United States, but this country has a long history of bigotry, anti-government sentiment and Fascism (although that last one had been in the shadows for a long time, but it still was there). Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, Father Coughlin were Nazi sympathizers (probably more than sympathizers) and keep in mind that we have had Nazis in this country since WWII. Does Charlottesville ring a bell?

Luntz should put the blame where it belongs because the GOPS got all of this started and made racism ok. Republicans’ have these pathological ‘blind spots’ of self-awareness that even while being contrite, are still demonstrating an inability to engage in any sort of sophisticated empathy, or detect genuine hypocrisy. I’m sure Luntz sincerely believes anything other than “moving on” is the only dignified and morally superior path to take, which seems unimaginable when the matter is about a non-republican. Plus his acceptance & endorsement of Pence’s transparent religious rationalizations for being spineless & servile with all matters of trump, if genuine, shows Luntz’s staggering gullibility or moral fragility. Alas, its obvious he’s traumatized & in the middle of an existential crisis so i suppose he’s showing exceptional courage, relative to the rest of his beloved (bleh) GOP
