It was a meme card in some early Highlander Priest builds (it was obviously removed quickly, because it was just bad) and it didn't see any serious play in Hunter. The only deck it sees play in is Aggro Druid and it's not even auto-include, multiple Legend lists don't even run it. It definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars, it should be more like 3, maybe 4. Which is still high, don't get me wrong, it's just not meta-defining.

Still, rating Defile so low even when it's a 2 mana card that can single-handedly obliterate the whole board seems very inaccurate. Binding the card rating solely to the tier of the deck it's been played in doesn't seem like a very good metric to me. Even when you had an amazing card, but that card couldn't save the archetype, it would be rated low. But could be a 4-5 star card. See Defile.

And let's not forget, Penguin was used in Raza Priest for a while as a combo initiator, actually taking large amounts of health off of people's totals just by being in the deck as a standard 0 mana 1/1 drop

ShallowDramatic Garrosh has more uses than Dead Mans Hand Warrior, where as Dead Mans Hand doesn't see much play outside of the deck named after it. Thus why Garrosh is rated higher, it sees play in more decks as well as being a key card in that deck.

The paladin cards make me very sad. Paladin is by far my favorite class and I love all variants of it, especially control, so seeing it get the second shortest end of the KFT stick (right behind shaman) is unbelievably disappointing. We'll have to see how KnC goes, but I might be done with standard until next rotation. in wild, mid paladin is actually good, and there are almost no jade druids, so I'm enjoying that.

great video but might i suggest maybe for future reference in the intro you can briefly go over the changes that occurred between the reviews in terms of patches as to provide context.

It's not that you would run two ofs so much as it is that since every card in razakus priest is a one of, you have to/can put lower quality cards into your deck since you have so many free card slots.

Because he thinks dead man's hand deck is an extremely low tier deck (i think he said tier 4). So, while the card defines the deck, the deck itself is not important to the meta.

Which is why its rating shot up in the review reviews. Without the presence of token druid and other swarming aggro decks, spirit lash would still be pretty mediocre. The only reason it's (now) good is that it turned out there are indeed viable decks for spirit lash to counter.

Yeah Garrosh is in pretty much all the non-pirate warrior decks. N'Zoth warrior and control warrior both run it. So does whatever you want to call the Rotface deck. Dead man's hand is only a necessary card in exactly dead man's hand warrior.

Play Dead is truly incredible in wild mode, with Sylvanas.

I'd like to see not a review of how the previous review turned out, but a new review of the KFT cards in light of the upcoming expansion.

So, why does the Warrior DK get a 3 star rating for defining Dead Man's Hand and N'Zoth Warrior, but Dead Man's Hand does not? It defines Dead Man's Hand Warrior (duh) and is pretty essential in N'Zoth Warrior.

But due to that they are forced to put in cards that aren't quite as good as what they would normally use, the assumption being spirit lash is one of those cards, not quite as strong as a card you would put in your deck if you had more options, more like "I've already got all the good cards, I guess I'll put in spirit lash" kind of deal, at least that is what I took from what he said
