Just like trump isn’t hitler, and joe Biden and Obama aren’t socialists. I’m just going to get this out of the way, I’m centre left, well at least that’s what I’m considered in Europe. Standards are different between Europe and America so you’d consider me left wing. What I use to determine if a group is extreme is when they breed hate and use extreme emotion to gain support. So think antifa and islamophobes. Antifa breed hate against anyone who wants to reduce immigration. Most migrant skeptic people aren’t racist they just don’t think their country can sustain the amount of people moving in. (Though I personally am ok with current levels) And islamophobes use a minority of extreme people to define an entire religion and demonise them. Ignoring the fact that ISIS and Al Qaeda grew in power due to the USAs flawed foreign policy. For many, including me, trumps use of words are too close to comfort to the sort of things fascists say. He fails to denounce extreme groups and he clearly does this for political reasons, the far right do vote for him. But he as the president has the responsibility to call out his extreme supporters and say what they’re doing is wrong.

I'm Hispanic and boy was there lots of negative vibes towards us during his time. We even had to be more cautious of where we spoke Spanish so that we don't encounter any karens. And I was always ready to attack if one of them decided to get tough with me. The worst hate crime against us that really bothered me was the El paso Walmart shooting in TX.
