If you follow the case the plan was keep it out of the public domain while the election campaign was ongoing paying in instalments and if Trump lost he would stop paying because it wouldn’t matter. There’s no blackmail going on it was to keep the public from not knowing what he was doing during an election campaign and that’s the crime because it’s election interference. If he hadn’t been running for office there would be no crime. How many people have accepted money as an out of court settlement arranged by lawyers and have signed an NDA? Surely that's also "Hush Money" but as lawyers get their cut... perfectly legal. How many "violent criminals" have made deals with DA's to get their sentences reduced, early parole, immunity from prosecution or a get out of jail free card? How many politicians haven't been prosecuted for accepting bribes, insider trading, acts of treason, underming the rights of their civilians.
