Trump has done more the people then any president has ever done in the history of this nation. thats not me being bias. its facts. our economy was at its best before pandemic then any president, black community unemployment was at its all time lowest, there was more jobs then people to fill said jobs. now no one is gonna get unemployment down to 0. there will always be those lazy people who refuse to work. plus with mental health and injuries preventing said people from working. but also more a man who been accused of being racist and supporter or racism. trump donated more money to all black and Muslim programs then Obama and any other president. trump tried to make peace for the terror groups in Afghanistan and Iraq. not just for American sake. for everyone's including the people of said nations. trump has done more our service men and women. then any president. even took control over the corruption and fraud that was being done to our service vets. also giving them better access to the health care they need. people think obama care is great and good. no its garbage allows the insurance companies to prevent coverage and deny service for any reason. now go forth and go realize what a mistake you made by voting for a pedophile who gonna sell us back to the highest bidder like every president before trump did.

I would say NO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS (PACs) would be more effective. The RNC or DNC should be allowed to give their candidate a certain agreed to amount for the entire campaign to cover advertising, websites, flyers, etc. Every candidate is capped at the same amount - $10, say. They would need to get volunteers, like Sanders does, and actually get out and talk to the people to convince them they are the best candidate. The big name candidates have nearly bottomless war chests that win their elections for them, paid for by industry lobbyists. It’s corrupt af.

Yes the dems wanted 2000usd all along but the republicans blocked it. But the bill should have been signed right away, 600 in peples pockets ASAP (and other protctions) and then more in a second bill. This refusal from the presidents just means more time passes before the money is wired... nancy Pelosy will now put a 2000 dollars proposal bill tomorrow up for votes. hopefully the Reps will let it go through...

We need to keep 24 million people from being homeless 600 dollars might not seem like a lot to you but when you cant pay Bill's or feed your children it is a lifeline. For the last 6 months I have seen my friends lose everything no home moved in with me and my two kids I fed them until they could get back on their feet. Believe me they have been praying for that stimulus for months anything is better than nothing.

There are really two bills that are linked to make them tougher to veto. The omnibus spending bill probably contains the Fed limitations demanded by the Republican senator that was holding the relief bill over the weekend. It has plenty of pork too. It has McConnell’s corrupt race horse rules, and Trumps border wall funding among other things.

This is the issue I have with most Democrats. They know this bill is garbage, but they absolutely refuse to be vocal about how trash it is.

There was a stimulus package over the summer that didn't have anything on it except the stimulus money for people, but Nancy Pelosi wouldn't bring the house to order to even vote on it. No money from the covid relief bill is going towards foreign aid. The spending bill, which is passed every December, has foreign aid built into it. The covid relief bill and the spending bill are two different things. Remember the governmemt shutdown in January of 2020 when there was no pandemic? That was because Trump hadn't signed the spending bill and the government shut down. Trump already signed the spending bill which Congress passed on Friday. The government spending bill already has foreign aid built into it. It has nothing to do with the covid relief bill.

As far as I know, it's going towards unemployment, rental assistance, airlines, eviction moratoriums, USPS, tax relief, direct checks. I just want the source. The government spending bill which has foreign aid has nothing to do with the covid relief bill. They are separate from each other. The spending bill is passed every December regardless of a pandemic.

The 900 billion relief package would give every citizen around $2700. Take the entire spending plan and give to Americans, you'd be looking around $8,000 per citizen.

"Why is the president just now finding a problem with the bill?" ...When both Bernie and Trump have been calling for way more in direct payments for months.

As we can see from the comments people form broad and sweeping opinions with little to no evidence or,as in this case, by using false fragments of information and form their opinions on a foundation of faulty logic. The COVID bill does not give money to foreign powers. That is in another bill unrelated to COVID. However, that does not mean that those foreign countries should get that money.
