I love Raj and ironically "The Bang Theory" will be on in 30 minutes I watch every rerun episode to this day.

Don't watch it without the laugh track.

To clarify the show started out that way with Raj unable to talk to a girl unless he was drunk. He did eventually get over it. My favorite moment is after Raj & Penny wake up in bed together, Penny is horrified it went something like this: Penny: OH God? We didn't did we? Raj: (shrugs) Penny: Okay, this didn't happen, we can't tell anyone! Raj: (nods) Penny: Really? STILL can't talk to me? 😠 Raj: 🙄

Another great video guys, I'd love to see more of your reactions to Raj from the Big Bang Theory!

Don't worry about how to pronounce "Brobdingnagian" ! It comes from a novel written in 1721 (Swift's Gulliver's Travels) so it's not likely to pop up in everyday conversation! 😅. Even my nerdy literature-type friends have never said it.

This show would not have been as good without the Raj character. He was great.

Raj was cool, but the writers stunted his story arc. He offered a lot story-wise, but I think they got lazy. Every character grew and found someone, except Raj.

He did have a girlfriend for a while, Can't remember if it went anywhere, I admit I didn't watch much towards the end.

They were probably going to give Raj a real girlfriend/wife, but the guy who played Sheldon didn’t want to continue acting in the show so they cancelled it before it could happen.

He was simply a troubled character. He knew what he wanted but his hormones worked against him. He would panic over the perfect fantasy for a married life and couldn't take things slow enough. Not all characters have happy endings. Howard was a womaniser in his early days, he was just lucky to meet someone like Bernadette who had the strength to rise up to his mother. Otherwise he wouldn't have married and just be one of those one nighter guys.

I know, there is a LOT of commentary and criticism out there about the treatment of Raj throughout the series. Even his three attempts at a traditional arranged marriage foundered.

​@@marcpower4167 Anu. They were semi-engaged for most of the final season, but then the writers gave her a "great job in London" and she was gone. Phew, that was close. So Raj ended the show single, with no prospects.

Never really liked the show, but did really like the Raj character, reminds me of a few Indians I know.

This made me remember a really stupid comedy from the 1960s -- one of the worst TV shows ever -- called "My Mother the Car," about a man whose mother was reinCARnated as an antique automobile. She spoke to him, and only to him, through the radio. It lasted one season. I think it's on KZread.

@@tahliasgoddaddy I loved it too, but I was about 10 years old at the time, so I don't really know what I would think about it today... probably with the same amount of enthusiasm that resulted in it only lasting one season.

Another show about that time was My World and Welcome To It. I enjoyed that too. It lasted only 2 seasons.
