{TrueSound}™ Delta + World Atlantic MD-80 / MD-88 / MD-83 LOUD Takeoff Action at Miami!

Three "Mad Dogs" departing from MIA! Includes a 737 for sound comparison. Which takeoff sounds the best?
In the second Delta clip, you'll see two spotters, Brian (initials BAR) and Mason (MVP), in action! BAR was taking a break and sipping soda while MVP photographed his favorite airline! The World Atlantic Super 80 was filmed on a different day, and it hits 66.80 on our Sound Scale (simply a number, not corresponding to decibels or anything)! A heavy Triple Seven usually hits just over 67.
If you didn't know, the main advantage of our TrueSound system is accurate audio "loudness" and, as a result, comparison of an airplane's sound to another airplane's. The quiet audio stays quiet and the loud audio stays loud; there's no auto-leveling of any kind.
We've been receiving slight opposition to TrueSound... Of course the system has its flaws, such as sound distortion when the audio is "too loud," hits the maximum peaks, and that technical audio stuff. We're not experts! And we're open to any constructive criticism, questions, or comments about TrueSound. The name is simply a brand name to promote our efforts for a valuable plane-spotting experience for viewers with quality sound. It's actually not trademarked, but we can pretend, right? :D

Gotta enjoy the MD80s while they're still here. Heck, enjoy 737's and A320s, because they're the last descendants of the classic "roaring" takeoff sound!

Let's not lie; 737s are still loud. 20 years from now the planes will be so quiet, the MAX will be MIN in terms of sound. Love the mad doggos t-t

It's incredible how far technology has come, but it's also sad to think that airplanes are getting quieter... Even the MD-80 isn't all that loud compared to the original turbojet powered airliners.

Well, it´s only sad for us aviation enthusiasts. But let me tell you something. I used to live near a large international airport in S. America for a while and there were some 727s, old 732s and occasionally MD-80s visiting. When these beasts were taking off and flying over my work, I couldn´t hear myself. I had to stop working. Thankfully, most of the operations there were done with very quiet A320s. So yeah, we do love these old aircraft but I tend to love them more if it´s just 1 a day and I´m sitting at the park chilling and that´s when it takes off.

Wow, listen to those dogs bark!! MD-11 was a nice touch too! but the third takeoff had the "truest sound" in my opinion. Long live the McDonnell Douglas family! Placing the Trademark beside the title is a good way to ward off evil copyright offenders ;)

I live 40 miles from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport and the sound of Delta's MD-88s is unmistakable as they fly over my house climbing to their cruising altitude. I'll miss them. They're being replaced with Bombardier CSeries.

MDs, 727, and the Learjet 24 have badass engines gosh back in the mid to late 90s they would scare the crap out of me but I just love them they sound like jets I always mistaken them for. This was in Colorado Springs I was living in Widefeild. I miss them so much the other airlines are not as fun and unique as the three.. They were so loud and addicting.

Would is the loudness scale for let’s say a 727, 737-200, or DC-9? All of course are hush kitted now, but all are still louder then the MD-80. I’m guessing they would be like 70.00 or something? And what would the loudness scale be for a fighter jet? Like 150.00?
