    Fareed is one of those all too rare teachers who are able to break down even the most (seemingly) complex and deep of musical ideas and make them immediately accessible and usable. I cannot thank him enough for sharing his knowledge, music - and great sense of humor - with us.

    I always knew about Fareed Haque being a fantastic player but this opened my eyes to what a great teacher he is. Love his energy and spirit. ...heading to TrueFire now. ;-)

    Excellent vid! but..they dont "ALL struggle with up tempo playing" some do it like BREATHING :D EX. Martino, Benson, Dimeolo,Mclaughlin and so many others ;) absolute zero struggle.(even when they were just 18 and 19 yrs old ;p Great vid here..Awesome player!

    It is due to his picking technique, particularly about the angle of the pick hitting the strings. It sounds very "staccato". That is very typical of players playing with a "pick heavy" approach, such as George Benson, Pat Martino...
