True Power! The Hardest Punch in History - Mark Hunt in Kickboxing
Спорт
In the short list of K-1 champions, Mark Hunt is the rare one to jump into the ring straight out of a night club and conquer the World Grand Prix. Today, we recall Hunt's triumphant K-1 journey, one that made him that very Super Samoan: the king of walk-off knockouts.

Hunt is probably the only person ever who could manage to get up and continue fighting after that Crocop's high kick.

he took multiple ones in that fight which is nuts ,, big nog another iron chin ( it eventually failed as he got older) also ate a high kick and tapped crocop via armbar
What an absolute legend, great Samoan New Zealander.

I love all this K1 stuff. Spent a lot of time watching these back in the day. Brings me back.
Never in my life have I encountered a "narrator" who was a colorful, as resourceful, as creative, and as funny and divinely metaphorical in his evaluation of the progress of the matter at hands ends. Bravo. It is a true pleasure to listen to the whimsical descriptions of the fights activities by our creative narrator.

His Ray Sefo fight will always be one of the craziest things I've ever seen in combat sports. It's like if the Max Holloway v. Ricardo Lamas "point at the ground and swing" moment occurred multiple times in one fight, was punctuated with one or more fighters willingly eating hard shots to the head and laughing it off, and with world class HEAVYWEIGHT KICKBOXERS.

That's normal for polynesians to smash each other and enjoy doing it and then maybe chill over a few drinks afterwards. In the pacific we say to kids "if you want to play, don't cry" which basically we grow up with that mentality. We're not afraid to bang for fun or for real haha. Watch the rugby fights too, just the norms haha.
I love how this gives context to a lot of Mark Hunt's fights. Honestly gives you an idea of what was going on in the life of a fighter, especially when someone is going through a very traumatic situation and struggling to cope. Love this perspective.

@DjNikGnashers

@@monkeyboy275bobo8 Exactly. Claiming this Hunt bloke is the hardest puncher in history is laughable, and even Ngannou is a bit of a stretch. The only way to really know, would be to measure every heavyweight boxer for their punching power, on the same day, on the same machine. Heavyweight boxers are always going to hit harder than kickboxers, it's all they train to do. Wilder I'm sure hits harder than Ngannou, and maybe other heavyweights hit even harder.
Man how could Hunt take those shots to the head like they weren't anything and then blast the opponent back knocking them into never never land? Stone cold bad ass!

It's common for polynesians to ignore physical pain. They naturally have a high tolerance for pain and are naturally tough as people even the women are as strong as the men
The second knockdown they showed of him while introducing him is just freaking insane. The amount of power he was hit with and still able to keep concentration and the power to knock him out. Man is a literal bus.
new favorite channel this one, I'm offically 10000% hooked
I have followed boxing all my life . I occasionally watched UFC , when it started . Did not have any knowledge of The K1 comp , because of living in Australia . When I saw MH in action , I thought " holy s..t " where did this guy come from ! " I am Samoan , and when I found out that Mark is as well , my heart and pride swelled . The hurt and pain from your past , should and will make you stronger for your future . Believe it !
Proper hard....could take the hardest of punches.. Hit like an absolute truck and top bloke.
Keiner konnte so hart schlagen wie Mark Hunt . Seine kämpfe waren immer spektakulär.
I was a huge fan in his K1 era.. The guy was such a badass
When people talk about a fighter being built for battle, Mark Hunt is king of all legends. His body was able to absorb incredibly devastating strikes from the best heavyweight srikers on earth for a couple of decades!!!!! Plus the fact that he's just a natural fighter is an incredible story on it's own.

Mark was always in the Hunt for the no1 spot, king of the walk off KO in K1 + MMA.
I loved Mark Hunt in the UFC. He seemed like a very laid-back guy who just happened to punch the shit out of people for a living. The amount of punishment he could and did absorb was ridiculous, and his power was amazing. The thing I respected the most about him is how he never dove onto an opponent once he laid him out and started hammerfisting until the ref pulled him off. He knew when he'd laid someone out before the referee did and didn't take any gratuitous extra shots. That's really rare in MMA. I hope he has a long and happy retirement, though with the sheer amount of blows he got hit with, I'm worried he'll end up like so many combat sports athletes, crippled by CTE and similar things.
True fighter
I love this guy, a true sportsman !
