True Power! The Hardest Punch in History - Mark Hunt in Kickboxing

Спорт

In the short list of K-1 champions, Mark Hunt is the rare one to jump into the ring straight out of a night club and conquer the World Grand Prix. Today, we recall Hunt's triumphant K-1 journey, one that made him that very Super Samoan: the king of walk-off knockouts.

The only way to really know, would be to measure every heavyweight boxer for their punching power, on the same day, on the same machine. Heavyweight boxers are always going to hit harder than kickboxers, it's all they train to do. Wilder I'm sure hits harder than Ngannou, and maybe other heavyweights hit even harder.

I loved Mark Hunt in the UFC. He seemed like a very laid-back guy who just happened to punch the shit out of people for a living. The amount of punishment he could and did absorb was ridiculous, and his power was amazing. The thing I respected the most about him is how he never dove onto an opponent once he laid him out and started hammerfisting until the ref pulled him off. He knew when he'd laid someone out before the referee did and didn't take any gratuitous extra shots. That's really rare in MMA. I hope he has a long and happy retirement, though with the sheer amount of blows he got hit with, I'm worried he'll end up like so many combat sports athletes, crippled by CTE and similar things.
