True Kit Discovery 330 davit tender solution
A quick video showing how I secured the True Kit Inflatable Discovery 330 to the davits on my sailing boat...I show exactly what you need to buy and how to rig to ensure a rock solid storage that will survive any sea conditions

Hi! Thank you for the video! I am considering purchasing a Discovery 3.3. On the motor. Do you think a 10hp is big enough to go on plane with two people? Did you have any problems with cavitation with the 15hp? On your sling for lifting the boat, anything you would change now that you have been using it for a while? Appreciate your response.

A 10hp is definitely the better motor (much lighter to lift on and off and leaves the boat far better balanced when operating with only one person and the motor at the back of the boat) 10hp is easily capable of quickly getting the boat with 2 large adults quickly up on the plane. Only thing i plan to change on the sling system is colour coding the lines to make it easier to rig

9.9, 15 and 20 4 strokes from mercury/Tohatsu all same weight. I run my 330 with 12 hp 2 stroke and it planes with 2 up no problem
Hello, do you leave your discovery fully inflated when not in use or do you let out a bit pressure if you're not using it for a while?

Hi, I would say if leaving in direct sunshine in hot climate for any period of time the boat should not be left "Fully" inflated. The darker colours are more susceptible obviously but I have not had any problems, the seams appear very strong

Bleed a few psi out between uses if left, then top up next use. Cover hull with tarp for uv protection in strong sun.
All a bit Heath Robinson with all those ties points. Unsupported Engine weight bouncing on transom is biggest stress point. Why not remove engine and tank then simply strap hull to Davits?

For passages, we would certainly remove the outboard but for short to middle-size hops she is solid even in rough weather
