People start trading to become financially independant but ends up as slaves of these propfirms. Shits Trade your own capital, even its small... Savings will provide you with the capital over time. These Propfirms mainly formed to lure the greedy gamblers

FTMO is still the safest bet but there are many countries that are restricted of registering on it

Purchased 10k account on August 2023, was in deep drow down by the end 2023, changed some rules, updating my system on my trading ways risked 0.5% per trade. for four months with strict rules passed phase one, just in last week remained 1.7% to finish phase 2 , now this news comes up of shutting down, like they have to know 99dollars is big deal to others put all my time and energy in this industry for this scammers

as someone that works in a company that twit was probs from an employee that didnt know they were closing until the next day fr so it is whatever employees can only follow orders from higher ups.

I have no interest in being a funded trader but I trade on a micro account of my own funds. My question is, how can someone vet out a funded prop firm to know how they are managing their money on the inside? How would someone know whether or not to avoid a specific prop firm?

No need to use prop firms. Start with your own funds and use a regulated broker and work your way up.

Are you seeing a pattern yet? While conceptually a great idea for traders, prop firms are scams at large. Just trade your own account slowly and grow it over time. Stop wasting you hard earned money at these fly by nights.

Which prop firms A Book?

They owed me $2000 which isn't even a lot, and dragged it out for over a week until they filed for closure. Probably never going to see that money again, but surely it must be illegal to just forego payouts when so many payouts are still pending

As some who’s been in this trading game a while, none of this surprises me, in fact I’m surprised the roof didn’t start falling in sooner on all these firms. My intention was always to get as many funded accounts as possible before everything when to shit. Prop firms have been great for me as it’s enabled me to fund multiple accounts of my own, which was always my plan…..

Why is that the case? I always thought they copy YOUR trades to their accounts, which are real and made money with your trades. Why are they not doing it like this? I don't understand it . That they will fail only with the broken challenges is not a secret. I think everyone would know that

Who would of thought? “ prop firms” make money off you losing

unfortunately, you cant guarantee that a good trader that passed all the challenges will not blow up the firm's real funds. There is another model that Im trying to build which can make everyone happy and keeps the firms away from the bad surprises. But the copy paste is blinding peoples eyes and forbidding them from thinking out of the box

At this point who is the real prop firm? I'm sick of prop firm failing and their web base trading app is not working well

Isn’t funder pro not trading in the real market either based on their terms of service: “4.1 The Services offered include providing tools for simulated foreign exchange trading in the FOREX market or simulated trading with other financial instruments on other financial markets.” “4.2 The simulated trading uses financial market information, but you acknowledge that any trading carried out through the Services is not real. The funds provided for simulated trading are purely fictional and you have no right to keep or use these funds outside of the Services. You acknowledge that these fictitious funds cannot be used for actual trading and you will not receive payment for these funds. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, you will not receive any compensation or profits based on the results of your simulated trading and you will not be responsible for covering any losses.”

This has left a bad taste for thousands of traders involved in prop. Even thought you could say..so what most are gamblers and not real traders. Still not cool they keep taking people's money till the last minute, then pull rug out..criminals

Remember rule 1, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

I think the best Prop firms are those who have been in the market for a long time

Lets say the traders in my prop firm are making more money than the money im making from challenges. I would also cash out before i ran out of money. A prop firm has to have a way of making money from their profitable funded traders... otherwise this space is doomed.

The funded trader is still active.

You have to migrate to future trading it’s more safe

hi dear man. how the real prop firms gets real money for trading for traders, that millions of money? can ordinary people provide their money to some prop firm and make win-win? so prop firm will have another money and ordinary people will have better profits, even in falling markets?

I can only trust a firm that will not ask for a fee to join. I wonder if any such firm exists. Maybe there should be a firm that allows you to sign up on their platform, trade with your own small funds first, then if you are consistently profitable they fund your account with larger capital. Does this make any sense?😂😂
