Driving my Nissan UD SM530 semi tipper... climbing on 35 degree hill on 4th with 45tonnes loads like a hot knife through butter with it's n/a V8 diesel motor...what a beast!

Most of the trucks are day cabs and not an inch bigger than they should be... Just one of those "Japan is more practical" things... You don't really need a sleeper for city jobs, hence why they don't have them. I was a part time truck driver in Germany and I drove a Scania P420. I never had to sleep in the truck, cause I'd go home after work, but it still had a bed in it. Guess it was nice to stretch on it on your break, or while waiting to be loaded/ unloaded... XD Also no long vans like Sprinters, Crafters and Ducatos, just smaller Toyota vans.
