Well lol semi trucks have 2 different horns , one which is like a car horn ( not real loud ) , and the highway horn ( very loud ) . The city horn is electric and the highway horn or air horn is ran off of air pressure. Normally the air horn is not used inside a city. The police can give you a ticket . But if you are pulled over for an inspection and either are not working you can be put out of service or get a ticket. It’s a pretty big deal .

Great video. My trucks cuty horn has been out for a while and havent taken it to the shop bc now days its there for 3 weeks at a time but this definitely helps

@@Starkeyfamilyfixing it looks like it, funny thing is I've done all maintenance on my truck,brakes/chambers/alternator/starter/turbo. Basically everything bolt on not requiring to open the motor apart but may be lazyness since the city horn is not necessary by dot, I think that's the reason I keep pushing fixing the horn to the back over necessary things but I'm basically done (for now) with necessary repairs that I'm looking to target small things like this to make my truck 100%. It's a 1999 so it has little things

@@Montoya1991 my last truck was a 1999 century, wish I could find it again , I traded it in for a down payment on the one I own now back in 2008 .

You haven’t seen where they mount the horns on a Thomas C2 bus, they have them right next to the grill under the hood

I have a 2009 Kenworth T660 and my city horn stays on so I unplug the it any ideas why it’s staying on

Yeah , possibly, pull the center out on your steering wheel and check that switch. It could simply be stuck
