Another gentleman i heard say is to buy a locking diesel fuel cap. Typically, you fill def at home with jugs, so you wouldn't have the need to have keys and wouldn't cross contaminate by not unlocking fuel cap

If I recall correctly they did. Pretty much anything that the def got into.

I would think all that needed replacement is the whole fuel system from the fuel tank to the injectors. Fuel lines, injection pump, injectors, fuel filter, drop the fuel tank and clean.

There also a bunch of sensors… crazy how much stuff costs.

i am in the same boat i did it today . Just like you its B>S> to even have it in the dang truck ......

I would look around because that seems like way too much. This was in Canadian dollars and we usually pay more for stuff up here. Did you put a lot in?

Yes going to once my warranty is over.

Just delete your truck and be done with it. Better performance way better. Gas mileage engine will last longer. Far as warranty goes, what is it really cover?

Well can’t do that, it’s a good truck and still like it. In terms of lasting longer being gas I don’t know about that. I have my diesel food truck and it has well over 400,000km on it and is going strong. My last gas powered truck I had to put a new engine in at 200,000km
