In this footage, a Logging truck is unhitched by a loader, the loader and trucker setup the rack and then begin loading the truck with logs. Notice the skill and coordination required by the operator to release and rise the back section of the truck.
All footage taken with permission and can be used for teaching & research purposes.

Like what? They have the trailer up on the truck so they can climb up the mountain to get to the wood. They tried a selfloading short logger around here years ago never worked out.
Stone-age system.

It’s a system that works well in a high production operation like this. This appears to be up to 600-800t per day. European systems using technologically advanced equipment and systems, self-loading trucks and the like are efficient, but have high capital costs and are not suited for high production on poor roads far from support and maintenance back-up.

Just a thought: In nothern europe for example you got one machine for fellin including measuring. One who is gettin it out of the woods, next is logging truck with a own loading crane. And in America there is A LOT more machines around logging, would think there would be more costs if and when there are a few more machines included.
