I am confused how that could happen physically? Did he do high speed turn? I do not understand.

Dang it! I hope the driver is OK! And that the diesel was able to be contained before getting into storm water. 😕

Your kidding right? There was a spill from a container truck two intersections from this one a few months ago. I watched them hose of the road into the storm drain, and the patches of melted road have not been fixed.

@@KK-qd6ro Both drivers & first responders are supposed to do spill containment. The driver wasn't able to. If you see something you think is toxic going into the storm water system, take photos & phone your regional council environmental hazard hotline. Love NZ waterways. 🌏💚

@@KK-qd6ro *was how I was taught anyways, Dangerous Goods license. The bulk liquid can be soaked up using absorbent mats or pads. Any remaining spill remnants can be soaked up using special absorbent granules or powder that can then be swept up. These are also commonly found in fuel spill kits.

I went through this intersection about 12pm.There did not appear to be skid marks. My best guess would be the load became unstable and the driver got it to the safest place possible. The real question is why the hell are they allowed to transport concert walls through lunchtime traffic in the city??? New Zealand regulators seem to have lost thier moral compass.
