Just The Average KZreadr Engine last a long time the 4L80E is good but the 4L60E family is decent but weak without upgrades I just blew mine at 271k miles broken sun shells torque converter not locking up burnt 3-4 clutch packs and other things I plan to rebuild mine

Did you guys repair it yet? what was the final on the repair? I had something similar sounding happen to me after an off road event....throwing it in park and made same noise....upon inspection I actually through a axle bearing which caused my axles to slide off the gears and wasn't engaging.....same thing no parking brake or engine brake

So what exactly happen because the truck isn't stick, how did it all of the sudden go into nuetruel?

I wonder if the t-case was in neutral while it was flat towed. Also you could of tied that strap around a tree to hold the truck in place. I just replaced my 4L60e it's not to bad, get a long 3/8 extension from HF and a med deep well for the top bellhousing bolt, or cut down a socket. 15mm

And this is why I don't hang out with knuckleheads. You end up with a busted car, an empty wallet, and usually fixing it yourself. But I'm pretty sure the Haggard boys 'ill prolly help this guy out :)

That sounded like a blow transfer case If i ever heard one. Sounds like when you put it in gear the output shaft is spinning from the trans which would indicate the trans is fine and the fact that the parking break tooth on the tailshaft of the trans grinds when putting it in park backs that theory up since that indicates putting it in gear spun the transmision up and its turning when you go to put it in park. Same noise if you've ever thrown a car in park while moving.

2002 stang Yep lol, I blew my transmission once (first gear worked, that was it tho) and I had to drive about 17 miles home in first. It was terrible, sounded like my engine was about to explode.
