9-12-15 Deshler, OH: The crossroads of CSX's busy Willard and Toledo Subdivisions never falls silent for long, but sometimes, the action doesn't miss a moment.
Just past noontime, the IP Dispatcher crams 5 trains into the space, with a series of meets that leaves at least one train, sometimes even 3, inside the interlocking at any given moment.
In a skillful display of dispatching, a manifest moves EB to NB, an intermodal hauls west, an autorack comes north and turns west, an eastbound intermodal pounds the diamonds, and finally a manifest takes their turn over the diamond, all within 20 minutes!
