Trout Fishing In The Sierras, part 1 | Stoked On Fishing - Full Episode |
Going camping and trout fishing in the Sierras is one of my favorite things to do. Something my brother and I have loved to do with my dad since we were little kids. 35 years later we took the cameras with us and basically documented our entire trip and made a show out of it. As you will see we had a blast doing it. Thanks to Annette's Mono Village for taking care of us with a beautiful campsite along with a comfortable 30 foot trailer provided by Hank and Rays trailer rental which made this trout fishing adventure one of the all time best.

Epic trip as always the Sierras dont disappoint oh how i miss you my beloved Sierras....
Looks like big fun, boys! Looking forward to the snowmelt this year.
its like watching a video of me and my bro"s great job your video took me back home thank you
I have been there years ago it's an amazing place for all levels of Anglers. And it's absolutely gorgeous. Thompson Buoyant lures work best on upper twin for me. Preferably the orange and white with black spots.

David Jackson thanks for info bro !
We used to stay at Doc and Als resort every year back in the 80's So many memories
Thanks for the video. You should try a pontoon and Skagit/Scandi style. I use it in Mission Bay, Colorado river(Parker) Big Bear and Lower Owens. Float tubes freeze my ass off and can't go down rivers. etc. Bass fishing opens up local waters. Good luck!
awesome video dudes
Here in SoCal you can catch double digit trout on crappie jigs but they're stocked, only good thing is that the hatchery puts the fish in circular tanks with lots of current so the trout develop lots of muscle and fight super hard
You guys should check out Dynamic Lures, HD Trout lures. Would be perfect for what you are doing and they catch fish. Great video
FYI, the lake, county and village are pronounced "Mow Know," not "Maw Know." Mono is a Shoshone/Piute word meaning "fly people." The Native American population near Mono Lake used baskets to catch the pupae of the brine fly, which were a source of protein for them. The word "mono" is not the opposite of "stereo" and is thus pronounced differently. I've lived in Mono County for 36 years now and the county is not a "nucleosis," as in mononucleosis. It's really nice to watch you guys enjoying the area I've lived in more than half my life. I was lived in Bridgeport the first 7 years in Mono County and have lived in the southern portion of the county for 30 as of this fall.
Just had to watch it again getting ready for the 2019 season. Got a double going at 10:50.
Like u said in the beginning God county I go there every year and camp on walker river kens place is the shit too..

Jeffrey Acosta how’s it going ! Mono village is the one who works with the trailer company . I think it was Bridgeport trailer rentals . Not sure pricing cause we did a barter trade for filming. This time of year is packed up there but do some homework and they might have something open . Best of luck hope that info might help 🤙

@@StokedOnFishing kool thanks man. Tight lines bro 🎣🤛
headed up there next week, the hard baiting looks fun, what cultivates are those?
Did you add the red insert into that crapoie jig or did you buy them like that. I know you can buy them like that. like the trout teasers. but if you add them yourselves you can a wider variety of colors

Cali_ Misfit138 we added them and yes you can buy them together but we like to experiment with colors 🤙
Like to know where you bought the jigs...
What's the setup for the hard baiting?
+stokedonfishing i know JT from fishermans hardware HB.
what's the name of that jazzy tune I hear at the 5:00 mark...?
Your audio keeps cutting in and out.
Just my opinion but the only way to experience that part of the sierras is to pack in
need to double check your audio when editing. cool trip footage regardless

I'm pretty sure it was blocked out due to copyright. I don't think it was editing, but rather the music in the background messed things up

Record setting water last year, near normal snow pack this year... it's all good.
handles the fish like a bubba.
Nice scenery, but it looks like a tourist trap.

+Quagmire88 The sierras are far from being a trouist trap. The locals could care less. Nothing but beautiful scenery and great fishing.

Quagmire88, I'm biased as I've lived in this area for 36 years, but I would not call it a tourist trap. It is quite a spectacular area with great fishing, fantastic road bicycling (my passion now that I can't hike like I used to), great backcountry, fabulous scenery, as well a very good downhill and cross country skiing. Matty Nat, I'm not sure what you mean by "the locals could care less." The locals love to host people here and we like seeing our visitors enjoy themselves.
