    I assume you can change the solenoid without turning the water supply off right?

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hi 4gasem, when changing the solenoid the water should still be turned off at the control stop otherwise water would leak during the repair. Fortunately we made a video on how to replace the solenoid, you can watch here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJZh2pWvkdradqQ.html

    I was hoping to find guidance to troubleshoot ghost flushing in a dark room. I can hear the flush from the next room about every 2 hours.

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Daniel, thank you for watching. If the flushometer flushes randomly every couple hours then it could be an issue with the sensor. Alternatively it could be an issue with the diaphragm. If the diaphram doesn't have a good seal and isn't seated properly on the valve then a tiny amount of water might leak out of the upper chamber. If it looses enough water over time then it will trigger a flush. It would be a good idea to remove the diagram, clean the valve seat, inspect for any nicks or dents that might cause a leak. As well its best to replace the diaphragm as the rubber can deteriorate over time. Hope this helps!

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    Thanks for watching. It's possible that the relief valve/ diaphragm is clogged. If no water is released from the upper chamber, then there won't be the pressure differential to open the valve for a full flush, you can see more in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lHyFw6Vml7e_hsY.html

    Please show a close up of the bi-pass hole. I can't see it to check for obstruction or enlargement. I have the whole flushometer completely disassembled and need to know how and where to look for the bi-pass hole. Otherwise I cannot determine why the water keeps flowing.

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching. It has been a while since we've filmed these so I don't have all the parts directly infront to look closely at. Some diaphragms like ones used in Delta has a very explicit bypass hole. The manual sloan flushometers it can be seen on the bottom. For these automatic sloan models, i am not sure where the bypass holes are, it could be close to the center column or a slit somewhere. These are not giant holes so they are not always obvious unless there is extra material around it. www.amresupply.com/part/EBV-1023-A-SLOAN-REPAIR-KIT-F-BATTPWR-URI In any case if you notice a buildup of calcium then that could be plugging it. As well look for any corrosion or anything that would prevent the diaphragm from sitting properly on the valve seat as this can sometimes prevent the upper chamber from filling properly. If that doesn't help then it might be best to install a new diaphragm..

    Where is this bypass in the diaphram??

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching. The bypass should be a small slit around the edge of the diaphragm. As an example you can see the white showing through on this image: www.amresupply.com/thumbnail/product/1594127/1000/750/EBV-1020-A-Sloan-Water-Closet-Flushometer-Flex-Tube-Diaphragm-Kit.jpg Which is on this part www.amresupply.com/part/EBV-1020-A-SLOAN-REPAIR-KIT-CLOSET-1-6GPF There might be some variation not every diaphram will look exactly like this but that's where you'd check.

    How about a noisy finish to a flush???

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching. Try adjusting the control stop. A noisy finish to a flush can happen when the water pressure is quite high. In this case the water is rushing by the valve as the space is getting smaller, likely causing that sound.

  • @AmreSupply

    Thanks for watching. If water is leaking out of one of the connections then you might need a new o-ring for that connection. If a little bit of water is coming out of the flush pipe, then its most likely a worn diaphragm.

  • @AmreSupply

    @AmreSupply

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching. High water pressure can cause noise as water rushes through the valve. In some cases the unit will flush normally but the sound will appear only as the valve starts to reset. Try adjusting the control stop. In some cases this can help but if you close it too much there won't be enough water to flush the valve.
