just about every biome of the united states has adverse natural disasters, the SE have hurricanes, the midwest, tornadoes and harsh winters, all the way to the NE, west you have earthquakes, which is the lesser of all the evils is where you want to live

Don’t act like the homeless is innocent. A lot of them are drug addicts, criminals, or just overall bad people. I’d say about 5 percent of homeless are good people

Lat time I was A category 5 hurricane located in the USVAI . They shut down all the power to avoid blown transformers and electrocution...

Im so lucky because I always go to houston but i went to kanas city

I live in the woodlands and the storm took out power in my house at 10am and when I was in the kitchen which overlooks my backyard my homemade power lines that I make about 4-5 ft tall a section came crashing down and I was looking when it happened next after the storm finally passed me my Dad and my sister all got in the car and drove to try to get food somewhere opened and most of the places open had 60 car lines and when we turned on to I 45 this is the damage that we saw on I 45 :2 Downed Powerlines Countless broken billboards many fallen trees and a lot of Businesses Powerless finally we found a five guys in Conroe that was open and we were able to eat the then we drove back to are house which is still powerless 1 day later and the story continues on

I live near the Friendswood area, and the power is still down in most neighborhoods. They're speculating it will return anywhere from today and Wednesday.

Yup, once in a lifetime events have become annual events. Records are turning into PRs being broken weekly. But please... the climate is fine because a few weeks ago it got to below 50 degrees somewhere at night...

The coast is held together with strict building codes and almost 100% insurance coverage. Structures near the coast must meet higher wind standards than inland. During construction local officials inspect and verify the construction laws are not broken. Texans however can build entire neighborhoods on a sandbar 20 cm above sea level. So cheap insurance subsidized by inlanders allows the community to wipe away and rebuild every ten years to stimulate the local economy.

lesson folks your local car wash is the most fortified structure. they are built like bunkers. dont stay in your home if you have trees big enought to kill you or power lines above ground.

Category 5 hurricane Beryl the Caribbean, decimated four islands cause extensive to a few others and only eleven death. You should look at what Beryl, caused Armageddon to the Caribbean to compare and everyone has not died. The islanders lost everything..total.
