Trooping the Colour: Princess Kate attends King Charles' birthday celebration in London | FULL
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year at Saturday's 'Trooping the Colour' - an annual military parade held in central London to mark the monarch's official birthday on Saturday.
On Friday, Kate released a public statement saying she is making good progress as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy but is "not out of the woods."
In the personal written message, Kate said she had been "blown away" by the thousands of kind messages from across the globe which followed her cancer announcement in March. She said they had made a world of difference to her and her husband, heir-to-the-throne Prince William.
Kate, 42, accompanied her three children, princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, in a carriage and could later be seen watching the annual event from above on a balcony in Buckingham Palace. King Charles and Queen Camilla watched the hour-long celebrations right from the grounds in which they occurred.
While Kate said she was hoping to take part in other events this year, aides cautioned that Saturday did not mark a return to a full schedule of work.

@@saraswatkin9226 But you have to understand that the King automatically signs those bills into law, regardless of whether he approves. Those weekly meetings are merely pro forma, to keep the King informed. Last time the monarch had "real power" was when Queen Victoria became Queen in 1837. But after the death of her husband, Prince Albert, she went into permanent mourning and left the running of the government -- and all decisions -- to the prime minister. That decades-long removal of the monarch from the levers of power put "finish" to whatever residual governing power the monarch had. Today, the King or Queen is not the "leader" in the political sense at all. The monarch "reigns" and represents the nation as a whole. The prime minister is the leader of the government. For example, Queen Elizabeth had no say whether or not to defend the Falkland Islands in 1982, after Argentina invaded. She may have discussed it with Margaret Thatcher, her prime minister at the time. It was Thatcher who got the the government squarely behind the push to retake the Falklands and ordered the military to do the job, not the Queen. Did the Queen approve? Who knows?

Gosh! I’m going through stage 4 epithelial ovarian cancer, and I also own and operate a nonprofit organization in my community to support grieving parents. So life happens. It really sounds like Kate had the same medical protocol as I did. I was diagnosed at stage 2b on 9/11/2017. I was hospitalized for several days after my hysterectomy.. my prayers and thoughts are certainly with her. When I went through my first bout with six rounds of chemo, it was incredibly rough. I cannot even describe that fatigue. It’s some of the very worst. I tell people, there are great products to cover up the illness. Really good wigs, too. I really hope that she can live as she wants to. There are good days and bad days. I’m just praying that she was diagnosed in early stages. That makes all the difference. How much was discovered and where is the mystery. I was 53 and very healthy and physically fit. I’m 5.7 at 135 lbs. being healthy and young is definitely in her favor. She doesn’t have any high blood pressure or diabetes and she’s young. My prayers are certainly with her. I always follow her up-to-date condition. That fatigue is some of the roughest stuff in the whole world People really need to stop picking her apart. Thank you for sharing this.
