I love Val and Holly!! I am so happy they included them in this special. Val is really so cool!! I love how Poppy always tries too much to be besties with her in Trollstopia. And Holly is basically the country version of Poppy.

Looking back at that moment, I felt so bad for Branch, he was scared of losing another loved one

I feel like ever since this came out the Trolls franchise has been getting better and if I’m totally honest this is even better then Trolls holiday. Plus my favorite part has to be at 6:17 - 6:22. It was funny seeing Branch getting blown up into sky and meeting another troll who asked him “what did you end up getting Poppy?” I also liked the song that was playing at the end of the special. It was beautiful.

Your slight annoyance towards Tiny’s subplot is very relatable, I hated seeing how much screen time was wasted on him instead of Branch and Poppy’s romance

Exactly! His subplot felt like filler and added nothing to the plot, aside from giving Branch advice on how to make Poppy the perfect gift. But overall, it could’ve been cut entirely and nothing, literally nothing in the story would change. I wanted to see more of Poppy and Branch making gifts for each other.

After this special, Trolls became more watchable because Poppy is actually likable and treats Branch with the love and respect he deserves, I also like how Cooper is bonding with his brother, Darnell

But then the third movie comes and uncanonizes everything. That is because Trollstopia starts a few weeks after the second movie and goes for months. Meanwhile, Band Together happens one month after the second movie. Fortunately, I came up with a way to fix the timeline in my own fanfiction that basically involves funk tech creating some wierd time loop where only those inside Troll Kingdom would even keep their memories and therefore being unaware of the time rewinding. It's crazy, but then again... this is Trolls we are talking about, a franchise where babies are born knowing how to sing and dance and with a developed mindset.

This is literally only Christmas special where they show 3-D characters as 2-D characters Holly Darlin and Val thunder shock

I did find myself liking Holiday in Harmony more than the first special. Probably cause there was way less glitter being used 😅 Plus I’m a sucker for the “I wanted to give you a GIANT gift, and then I realized it’s better to go small and personal” trope for presents. Really suits Poppy and Branch since they’re both prone to extremes 😂 Glad you two are slowly embracing the wackiness of the franchise. It’s kind of a personal game of mine to see how much more zany and wacky the creators can get without completely going overboard. Even if I do cringe a lot, it’s all a good time 😁 Now just imagine another holiday special with Viva and Branch’s brothers! 😂😂 I am ready for that harmonious, crafty chaos!

That’s really dumb, according to the wiki, neither of the shows are canon to the movies at all, so it doesn’t make sense to add them in a movie, let alone a special if they only exist in the show

You know, trolls isn't the only franchise that's done a holiday special. So far dreamworks animation have done a Christmas holiday special for Shrek, Madagascar, kung fu panda and how to train your dragon Happy Christmas

The trolls holiday specials are definetly weird. I nearly fell over laughing at your reaction to the holiday montage in the first one. LMAO🤣. Despite this one also having incredibly weird moments I like it better because of how it portrays Poppy and Branch's relationship. Even though they are boyfriend and girlfriend, and there are pressures that come with it, you can see how comfortable and caring they are towards one another because they were friends first. That is what makes Branch's gift so meaningful, becuse he showed what their romance was built on. If I were to watch this again, I would just skip to all the Broppy scenes. Just so sweet💕

Yeah, I totally agree with you guys about how pointless and annoying Tiny’s subplot is. Not only does it add virtually nothing to the plot, but it’s a huge waste of time. I wanted to see more Poppy and Branch making gifts for each other. Not see Tiny go on some stupid, low-stakes quest so he can come up with a rap for his daddy. I like Kenan Thompson’s rapping skills and the part where Tiny passes on the wisdom he just learned to Branch was pretty wholesome. But that doesn’t save how obnoxious this subplot is. Oh, well. At least Tiny isn’t as prominent in this as he was in Band Together where he was somehow even more pointless and annoying.

I need to sign back into Hulu so I could watch this and the second TV show.

This special did two things I thought would be impossible. Make Poppy a likeable character and make me care about Broppy’s relationship. I’m sorry, but before this, I never really saw the appeal of their relationship. Poppy constantly kept teasing and belittling Branch. And Branch kept getting annoyed with Poppy’s antics. But thankfully, after this special, their relationship is actually healthy and believable. Especially with Poppy actually treating Branch with the love and respect he deserves. And tells him he’s the most amazing Troll in the world by being sweet, funny, kind, cute, and over-prepared for everything. This honestly might be my favourite Broppy moment in this whole franchise. But I also enjoyed the ending where Poppy gifted Branch with a kiss on the cheek and Branch gave an adorable giggle. I’ll be honest. Not only was that part incredibly cute, but it totally caught me off guard! I’m just so glad that even though Broppy’s romance wasn’t the focus of Band Together, it was still carried over into that installment. I just really hope their relationship continues to blossom in future installments! 😍😍😍😍🥰💖💙

@@GalaxyGeeks You can always also check on "The Beat Goes on" series as well, since that spin-off is the one that happens between movie 1 and 2, while "Trollstopia" happens after movie 2.

There's no way that trolls is a kids movie especially if barbs dad flipped the bird.

I’ll be perfectly honesty. After this installment, the Trolls franchise became enjoyable again. Before this, I only really watched enjoyed The Beat Goes On, but even then, that had a lot of terrible episodes thrown into the mix. Whereas this and Band Together are a lot more consistent in quality for many reasons: - The stories a way more compelling and engaging. - Aside from Branch, of course, the characters are likeable and have depth and development. - The songs are the best of the franchise. - The humour isn’t quite as childish and cringey as it used to be. - The dramatic and emotional moments pack a punch. - Aside from Justin Timberlake, the actors’ performances are a lot more genuine and passionate. Especially Anna Kendrick who honestly sounded like she was going through the motions as Poppy before this installment. - Poppy is actually likeable and treats Branch with love and respect. - And most importantly, Broppy feels lot more healthy, genuine, charming, and adorable than it ever did before. P.S. Sorry. I’m over 7 months late. I honestly meant to post this sooner.
