The polite thing would be to call it a Lambo in front of his friends. If guy says it's a rep you say, "it's good one dude" and walk on your way. That would have been class. Even if he says, "that's my lambo" you just say, "nice car bud" and walk away. Doug seems the kind of guy to say to his wife "your ass looks big in that, and any dress you wear, you should never wear them". lol

The sad thing is if the guy would just be honest about it being a kit car, most people would still think it's cool!

I saw a Beetle based 246 Dino kit car once and the owner actually built it himself - he learned as he went and although it was rough to say the least he was proud of his effort but admitted that it was built in a shed with basic tools ! I didn't call him out as he wasn't in any way pretentious and showed us all round his creation- He said he was just happy to have it roadworthy and some stuff he could have done better !

So here's what happened... guy went three blocks looking for a Lamborghini. Found a kit car, encountered a serial liar... and then a d*** swinging contest ensued, of which doug eventually won. Nothing wrong with driving a kit car, just own up to it being a kit car. A mint Manta Mirage, Marauder GT, or Fiberfab Jamaica are all jaw dropping and exotic as well, if not quite as much as a Countache

People often don’t take kindly to someone Coyote swapping an original 1964 Shelby Cobra, but throwing your TT Coyote into a Cobra kit car, hell yeah brother, make all the horsepower.

Well the irony was that his battery went dead a few weeks later at a golf course and someone had to jump start his lamfuax. Maybe if someone had told him his lights were on :)

The fact a grown man had to walk up to another random man's driveway just to "let him know his lights were on" and definitely "NOT" to patronize, says a lot about this guy. There's an old saying " you can be minding your own business and not bother anyone at all but then someone finds out something about you, it can be anything at all the tiniest of things and they're quick to try to interfere with your life by using that against you." It's such a weird flex to show someone your bank account. This dude is a total douche.

ive never understood people that call out kit cars as long as they are not scamming someone with it just let them be

well... you're right, except this guy did seem to be scamming, by lying to everyone esp using it as a status symbol and as a way to impress girls, he is basically scamming in an indirect way. The lies make his reputation and success seem much higher than they are, which besides being pathetic, is also incredibly damaging to everyone who believes his lies.

At 9:53 you stated "4 lug wheels" How do you know they were four lug wheels? At 0:54 one can see the wheels have center caps and one is unable to see the lug nuts. 🤔 All Fieros came w/ 5 lugs Seems like the kit car owner is not the only one not being truthful..... 😑🤔

Imagine having so much time on your hands that you track a car down just to ridicule him 🤦‍♂️

Worked at a bank in the 90s and had a guy bragging to the tellers about his Lambo- he would always park it out front and you could see it was an awful kit- with flat glass windshield and cheapo exhaust pipes. He actually tried to get us to use it as collateral for a loan, and had a horrible photocopy of the registration that had been changed to show it as a Lamborghini, I told him no problem all I had to do was put the VIN in my system and it would give me a value (absolutely not true) he decided then that he had lots of cash and didn't need the 50k he was looking for.

Nice to see Doug found a wife as petty and arogant as he is. Ed, you must be running out of stories with this guy.
