Trolling on Hewes Redfisher 18 offshore - Swimming in Elliott Key in Biscayne Bay - Starfish
Trying something different today. The day was nice, the knots were low so Biscayne Bay, here we go! Decided to troll for a bit, cause you never know! LOL Ok, enough with Dr. Seuss! But seriously, we haven't gone offshore in quite a bit and honestly, it was a nice change. We didn't do so well fishing but that didn't matter because our plan was to go for a dip in Elliott Key. It's so nice to be able to get in the water since you can't even put your hand in the water in Flamingo! We totally soaked in the sun and the atmosphere and even met a Red Cushion Starfish friend. Picked a great day to take that skiff offshore! If nothing else, it was a great day of boating and floating. I haven't been out there in a while, probably several years, not since I discovered Flamingo. This video brought back some memories. Thanks for taking us along...

We are going this Saturday again! We want to enjoy the water before it gets too cold. I agree about Flamingo but it sure is a nice change.

My kind of day
Cherrios, Good video we are new to the area, We launch out of Black point. What route did you use to get to deep waters. We have a 17 Boston whaler, we tried Lewis Cut, but the stress level took the fun away to (Shallow)

We always go out of homestead marina, much better marina in my opinion and we cross and head out Cesar’s creek. All you need to watch out for crossing the bay is pelican bank.
