I appreciate how the background color is the same yellow as the Watchmen color palette. I love this makeup!
Watching somebody discover and hyperfixate on a piece of media years after the fact is hands down one of my favorite genres. Watchmen is so transformative, and I love seeing people discover it. (Also, PLEASE do more cosplays!)

Hearing Trixie gush about Watchmen to me is kinda like what it's like hearing my white picket fence suburban aunt gush about Ru Paul's Drag Race to me. Half of me is like "Yeah, we been knew. It's been a cultural landmark for a while now." and the other half is fascinated and tickled pink by the level of enthusiasm and genuine joy on display.

MAC actually did do the green for the original Elphaba, but the coverage on this is insane, I had no idea the stuff could go head to toe quite like this! You look adorable, and this was super fun to watch. If you are interested in the morality of superheroes, "the Boys" may be a show for you.

@@orpheus2724 ive seen people do this on drag queen videos a lot. for some reason bigots think all drag queens are trying to be trans women? so they go "um. HE/HIM. MALE! THATLL NEVER BE A WOMAN!" when that actually does nothing because they (a majority of them) ARE just men in wigs.. like they cant grasp the concept of drag/crossdressing.
I love this so much. Not just the cosplay, because I'm a cosplayer, but the enthusiasm and appreciation for the source material. It's real literature, and sometimes it's hard to appreciate that because "it's just a comic book."

Trixie, I know you're reading this. You absolutely turned this out. Watchmen has had a death grip on my outer labia since 2009 and I kind of fell off it but since I've heard you talk about it on the pod, I've gotten back into it! Trixie, my experience with Watchmen was very similar! Read somewhere that The Boys takes some inspiration from it, so I read it, watched the movie, and the HBO series, loved all three. You did great painting as Dr. Manhattan, and I enjoyed your take on the story.

a friend of mine showed me a tip called arm socks, where she gets colored tights and sews them into gloves! isnt that so smart? so when you are doing a charter you dont have to paint your arms and worry about everything being ruinied. you can also add press on nails to the arm socks and draw on them if your charecter has tattos scars ect. loving the bald rep ;D

What is your issue with Trixie going by she? Idk what her friends call her but she usually goes by she in public. SHE has stated multiple times that she really doesn't care what pronouns people use for her. So is your issue that you think I am misgendering her or are you trying to gatekeepe "she"? Well done, dear! Back in the day the thing to do was the Hulk Lou Ferrigno style, and kids tried all sorts of chemistry to achieve it. After the Halloween dances everybody knew who was doing what to whom in the school parking lot, green food dye hand prints told all! I think the special thing about cosplay, largely as an outsider looking in, is how the community doesn't judge you based on perfection, how much it cost, etc, they judge based on your artistry, your passion, and your enthusiasm. When you put effort in to expressing how much you like a character, other people who like the character see and respect it. Anyways this turned out SOOOOO cool.

as a cosplayer who was into a certain webcomic in 2012, the way we do anything is use A LOT of setting powder and spray (i believe it was the ben nye body paints and spray primarily) And then you miss a spot (or in my case get too sweaty and reactivate the paint) and it gets on your clothes and stays there for years. my jacket still has grey in the sleeves
