I don't hear any resemblance to Metallica. If there's any comparisons to other classic thrash bands, its should be Megadeth, Exodus, Testament, and Anthrax. Metallica couldn't play this shit if their lives depended on it.

love the 80's metal sound in this song. reminds me of when music was hella good

i love how this starts; its like a nice dinner party, then trivium come in and start rocking out. HEAVY METAL STYLE!

This song is sweet. It's like it came straight out of the 80's. Awesome!

At the time this was released, considering Trivium's previous albums I thought this was a joke. Coming back a few years later and listening to it as just another song, rather than a Trivium song, it sounds pretty fucking good! I think a lot of old Trivium fans, like me, can look back at The Crusade now and actually appreciate it for what it is. A cracking piece of metal music!!

The solos off 'The Crusade" were some of the most craziest solos they've ever written. They did a lot of sweeps and circular 16's. Techniques they've since laid off of after "Shogun". Nowadays their solos don't have a hint of death metal in it anymore.

Trivium's music is so powerful it can set WATER on FIRE! That's how awesome Trivium is.

Its awesome that Trivium just showed up randomly and just wanted to melt every bodies faces with their effortless and yet epic performance lol gotta love them

I get why some people hated this album, tbh wasn't my favourite either, however I am grateful they did record it because I love this song with a passion. Love Trivium's heavier vocal stuff but it is nice they can throw in the odd thrash song every now and again.

I was so surprised at how good they did this song when i saw them a few months ago in Dublin. A friend of mine who hates the Crusade album even liked it.

I feel like as bands mature, they tend to create tracks that pay homage to their musical roots. It can confuse fans but this is the type of stuff that inspired them artistically in the first place so more power to them. Thoughts? agree/disagree?

This is one of favorite songs to play on guitar. It is damn entertaining because the solos are fast and badass.

I'll never forget my brother bought this album in the fall of 2007 which was my Freshman year of HS, he was a senior. Anyway we went and picked up a bag of greenery and rolled a J to this song on the way to a HS football game. Been listening to Trivium ever since and that was a great night lol.

Holy shit, I just noticed that. Now Matt Heafy looks like a Japanese American Will Smith with David Draiman like vocals.

Trivium is redefining metal for sure and definantly how I define metal. Especially the vocals inspire me to diversify my style and make my stronger and better vocalist. -Dave (Vox from AfterThreat)

Been listening to a lot of Motley Crew lately and I am getting a lot of 80's hair/power metal vibes from this song for sure. God I love Trivium.

Al Alberqurque That is an insult to Metallica, Slayer and i guess Megadeth. These guys are good but I haven't found one song of theirs that I could see getting caught in my head. Nothing stands out. Most of their solos have no rhythm and the riffs in all their other songs aren't memorable and i've been watching all the popular ones on youtube for the last hour and well...meh.
