yeah, fab weather today, about 22° just right for a ride round the swiss mountain back roads..., wanna come join me? Always had a sweet spot for the Triumphs, the models with left-foot gear shift (too old now to work a right footer without unexpected emergency brake stops). The lack of space in my garage (2 bikes and a car) has always hindered me on getting one, that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it. I've only ever seen them in stock trim, Vic's has really been spruced up with taste, so much so, it's messing wiv me 'ead and wallet..., got me doin' me sums ! Yep, I also feel a little sad that the Swiss adventure is history, I always felt a little bit a part of the gang, when you were in my neck of the country. I see you didn't waste much time getting rid of the motorway sticker. Good Video again, thanks for the work and effort and all the hours you have sacrificed for our entertainment..., greets again from Switzerland, S.

Hi buddy, sooooooooo miss your neck of the woods. Got to endure a British winter of just miserable grey wet roads before 2024 comes. At least you get proper winter and stunning snow scenery.

I notice the same pain at the base of my thumbs when riding the Speed Twin. I think the handlebars angle back just a little too much at the grips. Also the throttle is less snatchy at slow speed in rain mode.Triumph do a quilted flat seat for £300 but dont expect touring comfort.👍

Not sure about that Gordon but I don't think there's much in it. The Twin has a smaller front wheel which helps taking bends.

This might help. On the CrossTourer the rear suspension linkage is often overlooked. The needle bearings get hot and need regular lubricating. If not they seize. This effects how the rear shock works. Once I regreased the bearings, I totally unwound the rear shocks pre load and rebound screw(at the bottom of rear shock). When riding, the bike felt low and wally, gradually increasing the pre load until the bike felt level. Small adjustments to the rebound helped with how the bike feels in corners. To the front suspension there are five rings for the pre load. Again they are adjusted in relation to load, but when all 5 are showing the handle bars feel higher, the two rebound screws should have the same amount of clicks each side, adjust until the front feels good to you. I was riding my Xtourer with too much rear preload which in turn was pushing my weight to the handlebars causing slight numbness. It did take some time to get everything as I liked but is really worth it.
