Had booked the Triumph on the launch and was so excited for the bike. Had a test ride early this week, and its bit too small for my 6ft 90kg frame. Went for a test ride of Adventure 390 X yesterday and ended up picking one. 😅

I took a test ride... Small bike actually slightly bigger than a 150cc.. Very nice suspension. Never felt any pothole in my 3-4km ride where i intentionally put in potholes... Throttle response amazing . No lag on anything. Instant. First gear no acceleration it will move such is power and torque.. Can do quick overtakes with little input Gear shift is bit heavy . May be coz of new bike Brake wont give that bite.. Progressive braking. I like instant bite Superb quality. I didnt like rear section. Instead of scooping up made it flat and given a round brake light like speed twin or hunter Anyday i will pick this above ktm. This has lot of usable power where as ktm gives you at top end and we rarely hit high rpm in indian roads. So triumph is practical choice. For 2.33 its a steal.. hope quality last and service matches the name.. Also wont feel weight even if its 176 Bluetooth not really needed. Sound is decent. Bar end makes difficult to filter through traffic Pillion should be comfortable Can take for touring Ground clearance is 160 or 170 i am not sure. Front looks amazing, side profile is ok, a large gap between tyre and seat.. back is bad as per my opinion Accessories A visor definitely.. A better looking grab rail... I am buying it, with above issues also its worth it. Even if they prive it 2.7 its worth it. Better than 390 anyday 250 obviously Hunter for price its decent so if your budget is less hunter is good. Classic 350 a big no.. huge heavy and no performance. But you need big bike feel and love thump G310r expensive to maintain. Service cost around 10k CB350RS/ highness if you like relax riding and reliable engine.. but it lacks power to do quick overtakes. Great bike though Dominar heavy almost closely priced. For big bike feel you can consider. Everything else T400 Harley x440 dont know but from reviews it look like a capable machine with lot of character. Cb300r expensive even smaller bike but good performance. Pillion wont be comfortable with its cramped saddle.. and 9L fuel tank. Its like triumph but expensive and with above shortcomings RTR 310 wait and see Scrabler X for big bike feel and off roading. Considering t400 suspension it will be great in 400X and can do good off roading Cb300f shit bike. Not a honda

I remember your 2018 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE RS VLOG where you talked about the Bajaj/Triumph collab will launch it's first bike in 2021 but things got delayed and we were never sure if this will happen but here we are with these two beautiful rides

Seems like the bike has ridden 3k kms already, while being less than a month old probably. Definitely been abused on test rides/ review rides and someone's boot has scraped that part. I dont think anyone who actually buys one will end up scraping that part of the engine. People tend to take much better care of stuff they have paid for themselves.

"Lacks KTM thrill" means? where is the logic in where triumph also brings a high reving bike like KTM while we already have KTM... if you want high reving, go for KTM. If you want comfort and performance go for Triumph. Why people are complaining "not as KTM" not as high reving"... not seeing any logic here

Triumph is made of over inventory of Dominor 400 parts . So quality will take it's toll

Can we see a X440 review and comparision with speed 400 or scrambler 400x ?

Triumph did not reduce the price after Harley's aggressive pricing. It was originally priced at 233000. This was specially mentioned by the CEO of Triumph motorcycles. As a proof he showed a video of the head of Triump which was recorded a week before the harley's price declaration in which he mentioned the price 233000.

Nice joke... Bangalore triumph dealers said it was priced at 2.6L ex showroom... 😅Nice joke... It's a cover up... One more thing, 2.6L for speed and 2.8L for 400x which wasn't launched just because they couldn't price both low but originally, both triumph was supposed to be priced and launched... And triumph dealers even said the moment network increases the price will also increase.... The low price is not just for harley davidson but also to bring in triumph dealers who will go for harley davidson dealership if the price is high... This price is not about beating harley davidson in sales but to bring in dealers... For those who doesn't know harley davidson might bring as high as 4 bikes with their 440 engine and nightster x440 is already patented in india ...

Other triumph dealerships from Maharashtra, Tamil nadu and hyderabad are better due to best service and Better at handling customers.

Will reduce the vibration for pillion. Even G310r is missing them.

3rd...i wanted a decent powerful bike... But rejected KTM 390 due to chapri image it has.. Now this is the replacement.. Will check it out soon.. Thanks Faisal Bro

Don't let others opinion change ur decision. Do test ride it before making any decision. The insane power of ktm is something else. But since u wrote"decent" Power then even the triumph will be good

I bought the ADV 390 X and even in the ADV format the 390 engine is something else. The punch is so strong. It feels like a kick. The power is not linear like a Dominar. Only way to describe it is that 390 becomes violent and crazy as the revs climb. I think you should definitely test ride or borrow a friends bike and give it the beans. I had a KTM 250 for a long time and that engine is a more sensible. It picks up speed cleanly. 390 is not like that.

This bike is placed so beautiful between Duke 390 and like of RE 350s and Honda 350s both in price segment as well as performance it just mind blowing.

As far as I know companies don't reduce price on a whim, the entire process of determining the price takes years from the beginning of creating the bike from scratch. I've seen a lot of videos about this bike, yours is by far the best. Thanks for showing every part of the bike closeup. Btw will it be ok for a tall rider 6 1 feet

The one below the seat isn't the fuel pump it's actually a charcoal canister which absorbs fuel vapours and purge it into intake when required

This is what we want a pure bliss of quality with a perfect engine and looks with proper features no gimmick and useless features kudos to triumph for making an absolute gorgeous beast

But my question is, what about servicing? Will it be done by bajaj or trimph itself? This question has been raised because there is no trimph showroom/service center in my town and nearest is about 200km.

Faisal knows we were looking at the Endy , looking beautiful as always.

Other than Single tone horn, they could have designed the tachometer as an analog and speedometer as a digital unit. Tachometer always looks perfect in Analog shape.

That’s not how a Triumph Speed is designed my friend…they wanted to give the same feel a the twin.

Speed limit on palm beach road is 60. So next time when u want to criticize others about not following signal etiquette u urself follow them diligently 😊

things that could have been different : spoke wheels; the bolted rear sub frame + the front & rear mudguard + handlebar should have been black like the tubular perimeter chassis(gloss black); the exhaust design; the speedometer/tachometer design...apart from that this bike feels like a blessing...a triumph adv 400 will arrive in the future...

It’s a proper Triumph , apart from the engine and exhaust that doesn’t feel Triumph enough! But then at this price point one can’t complain.

Harley Davidson has very old technology oil cooled single cam long stroke engine lot of weight and pathetic power. There is no top range performance with Harley where as Triumph 400 beats Harley in looks technology built and performance

Whenever somebody calls KTM chapri because of its image in India I put it down to plain ignorance because worldwide KTM has built an image of race ready machines and have had multiple successes in MotoGP and motocross events.

Yesterday I visited one of Triumph showroom to take test ride of Speed 400, it was rush as it was weekend, I filled form submitted my driving license and waited around 1 hour for my turn. I thought let us utilise my time to watch other models of Triumph, but when I observed a behaviour which I heard multiple times for special treatment to cheap versions of big brands like Triumph, Harley ... And I strongly felt it was not a welcome but just a liability for staff. I could not manage to take test drive as it was taking much time and I hand another responsibility to attend so I took my back my license and came out from showroom without test ride, but one thing was very clear that you will not get treated as premium even if you are with premium brand but non premium models, it was in discussion from long time but I strongly felt it , by the bike feedback from other riders were amazing.

Test rode it today. Unmatched suspension

Which bike do you suggest for the beginners

good review with an avergae spped of around 60 in city with heavy acceleration and deceleration i get 36+ kmpl in hunter, this will be marginally faster in city and will do the same stuff at maybe 25-26kmpl, harley x 440 will do same at 30kmpl
