Triumph Scrambler - Oil Change

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Short video on the steps I took in changing the oil for the first time since I've owned it, on my 2011 Triumph Scrambler. 200 miles so far, no leaks, guess I didn't screw it up! Subscribe and watch my other videos, more to come :)

Great video, thank you for making and sharing. I recently purchased a 2010 scrambler with 8k miles and I was able to easily follow your video and give it an oil change this weekend.

Warming the oil also put the "particles in suspension". That way all of the bad stuff get mixed up and drained.

Do it every 10000 mile/1 year?

The Harbor Freight Torque Wrench you bought will work. 25 nm = 18.2 ft lbs, I'm sure your new torque wrench will handle that.

I can do everything on my bike. Except for tune up that requires mapping with computer software.

why does a washer need to be replaced? can you use an aftermarket oil filter?

Because they get crushed against the steel as they are a softer metal. You can use/do anything you want buddy, your bike not mine.

Hey there, I missed my 600 oil change..and now I've got 2500 miles on the bike? Does it mean I am screwed?

  • @sweetntenderhooligan

Nah you're good buddy. At 600 miles your bike is just broken in, check for chain slack and wear on sprockets. At 6000 miles is next major tune up, but I'd keep an eye on oil level and chain slack every few hundred miles as well as as bolts that might have come loose during riding. Also clean and lube chain every 200-300 miles, easy stuff and keeps your bike looking clean!

Great video. Remember to avoid skin contact with used oil : it causes skin cancer in the long run.
