    Hey everyone I am an owner of scrambler 400x in Mysore, India, purchased in Feb 1st week. No doubt it's an amazing motorcycle. But I seem to have a lot of issues with the electronics of it. Let me explain in a bit of detail hoping that the message reaches the right people in Triumph. The day I got my first service done, the same evening my motorcycle wouldn't start at all. It was fixed by the service center stating that there was an electrical contact issue with the immobilizer. Went on a long ride (about 1700 kms) and while on the ride, I had instrument cluster/console issues. Speedometer fluctuations starting happening and it stopped working. Riding at a 120 kmph but speedometer showing Zero :PP Resulting in stoppage of reading of odometer, mileage (dynamic and average), distance to empty etc. Did not clock almost 700 kms because of this. Meanwhile, front ABS breaking issue had started. Rejection of application of front break. Almost caused an accident because of it. This was fixed by stating that a bolt in the front wheel was loose and it was overlooked during PDI (pre-delivery inspection) 2 weeks later, engine starting issue (immobilizer related) has started again. No fix found yet. Service center states that it's a software problem... It's frustrating honestly. I did comment on one of your instagram video as well. But I'm hoping to let people know about what all can go wrong with the scrambler 400x

    I havent commented on this channel before but the fact you take out our time to comment on every post is commendable and i appreciate that as it provids a pleasant experience to others as they feel included+answers queries like mine. So i'm just starting riding scooters, taking delivery of ola s1 pro in a few days as the first vehicle so pretty excited about it, but i had a couple questions that would help me as these are the things i identified that i would need to work on 1: I got my friends scooter to my apartment and got my dad to sit on it, it was a ntorq race edition, and i drove alone for 50kms before getting it here. I was taking speed breakers and humps at around 20-25 kph maybe 30kph sometimes, but my father told that i was taking them too fast, as a driver i coudnt tell as i was at the pivot point and my body was switching but these are amplified for pillion, so could you give me an approximate range of speed i should take on them with/without a pillion or something to judge better. 2: With me alone i was able to take corners well, as i could juts make the scooter lean with my hips and the handle bar also is easier to turn because of the lean angle, but with my father sitting on the back absolutely upright, i wasnt able to take the turn as sharply as i expected, so do i just turn the handlebars more (they dont want to move much till i lean the scooter) or just try to shift the weight and lean the scooter, and if so how to 3: I'll learn things more on the way, as i havent made a habit just yet, but i was finding myself that if im filtering in traffic or have to overtake cars, i was coming ahead of the front wheel, flooring it, making some space and then moving over but not using the rear view mirrors much, so just wanted to know how actively should i be looking at it for example im in city conditions or moving traffic 4: lastly, i genearlly use a mix of brakes, pressing both front and rear, prioritising rear when normal breaking and prioritising front while heavy braking, but one of my friends was telling to only use the front break once you have maxxed out pressing the rear, new vehicles have cbs but it felt counter intuitive so wanted you to shed some light on this Thanks a lot for taking out your time for reading this big post of mine, love your content and look forward for more :D

    1. Personal confidence & practice. 2. Learn counter-steering and it comes naturally by just being aware 3. Always have objects in mirror in peripheral vision 4. Use both brakes judiciously Bottom line, practice and learn in safe environment with protective gears. Cheers!

  • @AgastyaXV

    @AgastyaXV

    7 ай бұрын

    @@bigbearbangalore sure! Thanks a lot! Will work on these points. Counter steer was acually not something that i actually gave a thought to with a pillion on board as i felt that its more natural to lean into corners, and if i counter lean, it will be worse from the pillions pov, but thats actually the easier option to do with a pillion. Its easier to get things in order at the start as theres no habit/reflex set up so did that at the start, once again thank you and hope to learn more from you

I too wanted to install bark busters & ram mount mirrors like yours. I'm based in Goa so will have to order online. Could you give me the exact model/specs for the bark busters which would fit the scrambler 400x. Also the ram mount mirrors. TIA. Keep up the good work

    Thanks for showing the accessories. My wife is ordering one and it’s extremely hard to tell what these look like from the Triumph website, they’re practically impossible to see at dealers here in the states. Glad to see the upper and lower guards look quite stout and not ugly. How is the factory seat? Was wanting to pull the trigger on that but the dealer said you’re better off ordering the stock unit and if that doesn’t work you can buy the aftermarket seat and sell the factory one since it’s not discounted as an option when you order the bike.

    400X easier to move around. At highway speeds the 450 feels more planted. Better wind protection on the 450. Oils, use company recommended oils for warranty purposes.

    Hello! Great video, and cool bike!. Your personality is great for KZread! I just subscribed! I just picked up a 400x. Your video made me even more excited! I have the upper and lower engine bars in boxes. I have a couple questions about installation. 1. The instructions say it needs an engine support, is this necessary or can I install engine bars while the bike is on its kickstand? 2. Instructions say the exhaust needs to be removed to instal the engine bars. Again, is this necessary? It’s been difficult to find many videos about specific mods on such a new bike. Thanks again for the awesome video!

    If you’re a fan of the Triumph Scrambler, read Forgotten Road by Randall Arthur. The whole last half of the book highlights the Scrambler in numerous, fantastic adventures. The book is a work of fiction, but supposedly the adventures in the book are all based on Arthur’s real-life experiences. Randall Arthur is also the author of the bestselling novel Wisdom Hunter. On a side note, Forgotten Road is a faith-based novel.

    Do you feel we can modify the exhaust system to a raised side swept channel, similar to the Triump scrambler elder sibings like Scrambler 900 and Scrambler 1200 ? This considering we have to find the correct height to cover it at , have attachments along the body to hold it and heat shield it, while also avoiding the air box holes on the side. I ask as it would be fun to create a motorcycle similar to the existing big CC variants and still not break the motorcycle . Would love to hear your thoughts of how you would design or go about it ?

    Yes some CB350s face this chronic issue. Something is going wrong on them randomly. Tyre, wheel balance, cone set etc are to blame. Fixing it only by trial and error.
