I've had the side bag on my 1200 XE since I bought my bike some 5 months ago and only just now learned from watching this video that I can lock it to the mount. Many thanks for pointing this out!

michael Godliman You mean the offiacl Triumph ones? Regardless what you stick on the tank its important to clean with alcohol to make sure it sticks well.

@@michaelgodliman436 I suspect greasy hands during installation...but good to know :) The techspec on flat surfaces are pretty bulletproof from my experience, as long as the surface is properly prepared and that you heat the adhesive a bit during application.
