    I think it's probably a copy but research quality copies also cost an absolute fortune, especially 20 years ago before 3D printing was so commonplace

    @@stevenhale2935 True, however literally tens of thousands of skeletal remains have been removed from the La Brea tar pits with no doubt hundreds of Smilodon skeletons being retrieved.

    I'm glad they talked about Entelodont. It's my favorite animal in Walking With Beasts. I love it setting off the car alarm at 3:21-28 LOL

    I actually know why the Enteledont got those marks. When the mating season comes, they get very aggressive towards each over, as they try to establish who is top hog.

    Indricotherium was huge but Palaeoloxodon sp (Asian Straight Tusked Elephant) is the largest land mammal discovered so far.

    Just for future reference, you can’t just say Palaeoloxodon sp. you have to give the species name to be accurate, because Palaeoloxodon falconeri was a tiny animal the size of a pony in the same genus as the animal you’re probably thinking of, which is Palaeoloxodon namadicus. There can be a lot of diversity within a genus

    And there was a truth Smilodon were the top predators through North America from the very beginning. When it was alive and after it died, one fossil of a sabretooth cat was found in Alberta.

    Some one found a skeleton of an elephant bigger than indricotherium it was called paleoloxodon or Asian state tusked elephant

    Yes Palaeoloxodn Namadicus, whats funny to me is comparing it to its cousin Palaeoloxodon Falconeri (which is roughly 3ft tall), Namadicus towers absurdly over it (Falconeri barely reaches its ankles).

    Paleoloxodon is heavier and taller at the shoulder, Indricotherium is longer and taller at the head.

    Speaking of Indricotherium, it's now called Paraceratherium, which also includes Baluchitherium and Dzungariotherium. According to Wikipedia.

    Kevin Lashley paraceratherium was actually the name originally given to it. Then it was changed to indricotherium, and then back to paraceratherium.

    Well, if he, Scott Foss or everybody, want to bring this 19 million year old Daeodon to life, then why not, use the fresh muscles and organs from each animals by skinning and put to the bones? Like why not do it, since it's been there for many years?

    11:40 i love this documentary. however, i must say i dont like the way the smilodon model looks, mainly the face. same with the rex model in walking with dinosaurs. they just look, off, even a bit goofy, misshapen really. but of course, walking with is still great
