Triumph Bonneville America (2002) walk around

Ойын-сауық

2002 Triumph Bonneville America. I just put the footboards back on. A great day for a ride. I pulled over to shoot a walk around. Just a little fun. I'm sure this post will be appreciated when the winter comes. I hope you find it enjoyable.

I like the pannier bags you have! Can you show the brackets which you’ve used? Thanks Steve. I have a 2001 America 👍

I just purchased a 2003, I noticed the bars are different they are flat across. I am going over the bike the previous owner did some mods to it that I am trying to reverse. I have the tank off and cannot find a clear pictures of how the throttle cable is run starting from the carb on up to the throttle. It kinda looks like the cables run under and straight under the spine in between the ncoils. . Are there any connectors holding or supporting the throttle cable inder the tank?

When I changed my bars risers, to the 2 " taller ones, I had to move the throttle cable. Well, the option was to replace it with a longer one, or to "reroute" the cable. When I did, I learned there was no connector holding or supporting it under the tank. It was loose under there. I did need to disconnect it, so I could rethread it a different way. If I ever switch my bars back to the lower bars, I don't think I'll need to move the throttle cable again. If you can't sort it out, let me know. You can find me on FB and send me pictures of the bike, I might be able to offer some ideas on how to reset things.

This video at around 9 min in, might be helpful in letting you see how the throttle cable is run (before I moved it). kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4V6kqt_Zr3KhLg.htmlsi=XQJa-JNQTMe-5FBF&t=547

Hi Ethan, lovely bike! I have recently purchased a 2006 model and am thinking about footboards. I was wondering if there is any difficulty using the side stand with those footboards?

Hi Woody, It's easy. At first, sure, it's a little tricky because I my muscle memory had me reaching for the side stand. It's easier with out the footboards. But... gotta say, after riding for a little while, I really like the footboards and don't even notice the extra reach for the side stand. It's just normal. I will also say this. The first time I put on the foot boards, I did not like them. I did not like the slight change of foot placement and the bike felt smaller. So I took them off. But, the second time I tried them, for some reason it was different and I really liked them and still like them. Go figure... If you can find the triumph ones, those are my favorites. I also have the Kuryakyn ones, but like the triumphs a little better.
