Those people that complain, complain about everything anyways. They’re never happy.

I have a 2018 bobber, with 12 inch ape hangers. I love the bike to death.
Your initial throttle up yelling of excitement sold me! Gonna get me one tomorrow.
Love the positive energy. I bought this as a 2nd bike to my Ultra Classic. Absolutely like ripping around on this lighter bike that doesn't throw heat on real hot days. It's the 23 Chrome edition. Style is old school meets modern tech, which like you said a head turner. Motor with care !
Dont know why people keep bangin on about the gearing..just use the gear to the speed.
Quite a heroic attempt at finding flaws on this nigh perfect machine! 😆 It's my first year on a Gold Line Bobber and I have the same giggles every time. And almost always a WEeeeeeeee as well when accelerating. Just can't help it..
it's fun because i'm selling my thruxton R (i'm looking for a Bobber) and a guy tell me "oh you can't have a passager on your model ?!" I said "if you're want to go duo, dont buy a thruxton R". And you have the same, WTF buying a Bobber to go duo seriously ? (and Triumph make the Speedmaster who is the duo version of the Bobber !). What ?! we can not fit 8 people in this Ferrari? It sucks! 😂
If there is one video online that echo’s my whole emotions when riding, seeing thinking about the Bobber. This is it. I didn’t know anyone could capture the feeling I hold when riding mine. You sir, have nailed it. 😁 Loved the few videos of yours I’ve seen. A grin from ear to ear. Brilliant! 😁
I love your “Shut Up” remarks!!
I own the bike and I love it. You have to get used to the long gears if you came from another bike. The tall gears work well with the torque curve of the bike and im sure its the reason for it.
I am issue free on mine with over 800 miles now. My only complaint is that you cannot really fill the tank without some gas seeping out of the locking gas cap. Nice video!

My second Bobber. I love this thing but....I want auto canceling directionals. My Thunderbird has them so why not the Bobber?? Luggage? Motone Voyager is the answer. Just put one on for a long ride to Nova Scotia.
@midlife-crysis

auto canceling would be great. fully agree with you there.
Feul tank is 12L, I ran it on 0 miles for another 20 miles the other week and it took 11.2L so you can probably do 30+ miles when its showing 0. Triumph HQ have confirmed there is fuel in the tank when it shows 0. The mapping is also very lean, which makes the throttle stuttery around roundabouts etc.
It's like you described my 2016 Street Twin, except you have a lot more power and I can have a pillion with me. Regarding the gearing, it's not that I don't like that it's a tall gearing but riding at 60kph on just 2nd gear I still have to get used to it. I can get it on 3rd at that speed...Yes, But below 60km/h on 3rd the motor starts to complain. but other than that, those Triumphs are really great fun to ride.
Personally my family wasn't thrilled about me getting a motorcycle. So i really didnt concern myself with having a rear seat when choosing my TBB. My only issue with the bike or Triumph is I just wish it came with a (Belt Drive Opinion) its like chains.... Really in 2023?
@midlife-crysis
9 ай бұрын
i may be wrong but think chains are 1 cheaper, and 2 better for adjustment and 3 more efficient..... all the sports bikes that do races use chains. personally i would love shaft drive
Very pretty bike. I want.
I love your excitement haha I feel it I been looking to buy a motorcycle as I rode dirt bikes all my life but now want a one for the road and I was always a GXRS fan and superbikes but I started liking the bobber look and café racers and watching this video makes me lean towards getting the Triumph Bobber, going to look at some this weekend.

I have a 22 bobber bought as my first bike Like everything has good and bad suspension and seat are my only complains other than that is a great bike the other day I put 393 miles on my last trip I know the bike is not designed for long rides but is fun as long that every hour or 2 you stop to stretch out , is a very beautiful bike very special in my opinion I’m going to upgrade suspension and seat to see if my long trips are more comfortable , I recommend to all people who want a bobber to double check the purposes and the goals that you want in a bike , in my case I just fall in love with the bobber that I bought it no regrets I put 9000 miles has good torque 115 top speed ,,,

@@christianfroude4504 as a person who learned how to ride watching you tube videos and practicing with the bobber , yes it was very intimidating to reach 115 , but when I bought the bike I decided that the bike was not going to intimated me , I don’t know if you ever got a chance to ride a bobber before but this is a bike that at least here in north California where ever I go I get the attention , thanks to the bobber, hopefully this info helps you ..
I’ve never used 6th gear so far on the highway, usually bounces around 4th and 5th…. I honestly forgot there was a 6th gear until you said something

Debating between this, the iron 883, and a scout for a first bike. How tall are you? I'm 6'4 and I don't know if I'm too tall for this bike...
@midlife-crysis
13 күн бұрын
@@DGAB955 the scout will have you super folded over unless you get the ape bars. Actually you will need ape bars for all these bikes for your height. Iron sounds the best (if you get Vance and Hines exhaust). Scout the fastest. Bobber….the best looking and best sounding stock bike. But a close tie between them all

? How are the brakes? I have a person, 1 person complain about the braking. I intend to buy one in the next year or so. Depending on my funds.
@midlife-crysis

front brake good, back brake weak, but similar to my experience with Harleys back brakes, but if coming from a sports bike you will be shocked how weak it is. it is pretty much all front brake to stop this thing
Sounds brilliant as well
Best buy ever
No turn signal to pass?
@midlife-crysis
11 ай бұрын
"Turn signals provide an effective means of communication to let other drivers know where you are going so that they can act accordingly" the pass is so fast, there is no time to communicate and no action for the other driver to take, so it is a redundant signal in this occasion

I’m on my 3rd Bobber and the gearing is a mystery to me. The bike is geared for a theoretical 144mph. Which it would obviously never reach. My solution is to change from the stock 17/37 to 16/39. Much improved acceleration and more opportunities to use 6th gear.
@midlife-crysis
11 күн бұрын
in my more recent videos I have removed the Cat, from the bike, and this has freed up 5th and 6th gears a lot! acceleration is not something I thought this bike needs more off, but the top end pull in the higher gears is deffo lacking, but removing the cat was a massive performance boost
i think the suspension is awful dude.. i love mine but it’s a bruising shattering ride. enjoyed your review. agreed though it does have power she’s a pussy cat.

I wonder if me being 110kg, means i push down more on the suspension and that is better than if I was 20-30kg lighter? having the mid pegs helps me out a lot i think compared to forward controls of the harleys and indians i have ridden

Had one... sold it... crap throttle response off idle that Triumph couldn't fix... rear shock was utter pants... Hagon was better, but still not brilliant, loved the torque and looks but the throttle and suspension ruined it... had it two years... and didn't gel with it... it may have been a great seller, but there are shedloads for sale, so I think that says summat... if ya like it fair play, not for me...👎
@midlife-crysis

I wonder if my 2023 version had some of those things ironed out, certainly never had any throttle response issues, and so far not bottomed out the rear shock, see recent video of triumph bobber asmr for video of me smashing through town. Current stats on auto trader for sale (2017 oldest year) Bobber (95) Rocket 3 (82) T120 (114) Scrambler 120 (114) Speedmaster (69) Speed Triple 1200 (118) Speed Twin (157) But that includes 900 and 1200 versions) Tiger 1200 (203) I would say the bobber is about average for the number of second hand bikes for sale of this or close to this engine size displacement and a good condition 2017 (single disk front brake) is still fetching around £7,500-8000
Criticism: It weighs a whooping 34kg more than a Speed Twin 1200.
