Emma isn't even all that posh. And what does being "bi" have to do with anything? Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana as well, but to say you 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙧 her Di to Emma's is strange, especially since NO ONE has even seen Stewart's portrayal yet save for a few seconds in the teasers...

Growing up and only remembering Princess Diana's funeral, and learning about her that way, I can't help but be drawn to her affinity. I thought Emma Corrin portrayed her extremely well. I love what the head of research said about historical basis and what Peter Morgan said about emotional underlining of the story. People are upset with his interpretation of Diana and of the marriage of her and Charles, but what stood out to me is that he got the emotional underlining right. How that was expressed even if the history didn't align exactly mattered more, because dramatically, the emotional underlining that informs the interpretation of history is what we are exposed to. Prince Charles can be upset about this emotional underlining hitting on the truth that he was not invested in this marriage and made Diana pay for it in the worst ways bringing out her worst insecurities and I hope in seasons 5 and 6 that showing Diana's triumph and accountability towards those who wronged her can further explore. Diana was at the top of her game when her car crashed in Paris, and Charles realized too late what he neglected, or so it seemed.

As a person who knew her only from X files, I just didn't realize it was her. This is called good acting. The role, the costume, the voice. Perfect.

I think Emma Corrin overdoes Diana's mannerisms. Also I find her facial expression too harsh for Diana. Gillian Anderson is excellent as Margaret Thatcher, voice and mannerisms. Dont like Olivia Coleman as the Queen, her performance does not achieve an authentic regal air or the quiet wisdom of the Queen. I thought the actor who plays Charles is excellent captures his torment, voice and mannerisms really well. Just my opinions and from what I remember. (65 year old UK citizen)
