Tripura: Why is BJP Vice-President Patal Kanya Jamatia furious at Pradyot Deb Barma

Tripura BJP’s Vice-President Patal Kanya Jamatia lashed out at Tipra Motha founder and an ally of the party Pradyut Kishore Deb Barma on April 24. The BJP leader even called him a political broker. This was after the royal scion allegedly made personal attacks on Patal Kanya.
"People are asking me why Pradyot is making personal attacks on you. So I am answerable to them. You all are aware of Pradyot’s broker politics. Ever since he came to Tripura, he has adopted the divide-and-rule policy. People are well-acquainted with your theatrics who betray the BJP, the party which helped him. That is why I publicly ask this, if you do not apologise for your hatred filled and divide and rule politics and commit that you will no longer indulge in such politics, you will not get the support of the people," the BJP Vice-President said.
As per reports, Pradyot took a jibe at Patal Kanya while attending a rally at Ampi, the constituency where the BJP Vice-President contested the assembly polls. Pradyot allegedly tore into her for changing political stand and joining the BJP. It needs to be mentioned that the former Tripura Peoples Front (TPF) leader joined the BJP in March 2022.
