Named the friendly islands, but little did Cook know the Tongans' original intentions were not so friendly. Just look up the story of William Mariner, haha, but all in all, Tongans are friendly until they're not lol

What I want to know is whether there is a nice beach within a walking distance from the Port area in Vavau. Or whether we will need to book a tour to go to another small island from Vavau Port. This is my very first time leaving a comment on KZread haha. Some information would be helpful!

I did not see any beaches around the town of Neiafu, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. I never really needed to find one there because I was living on the island with an amazing beach. I know that there are some incredible beaches on the islands in Vava'u, but accessing them is the tricky part.
