You could not make my day any better, simply Aviation, i just loved it, i know you are more used to travelling in Europe and in other continents with more modern airports and airliners, but, i like when you go to Africa and you show the little we have. I am an Angolan and i want to see the African aviation grow and take the right direction and this airliner deserves our trust, do not stop just right here, keep on showing us more trip reports in Africa, it was a nice surprise for me today, thanks a lot.

Bro, every single continent need to be known from a POSITIVE side, and Africa is one of the nicest continent from a point of view culture. I like the culture there, is just majestic. And yeah, the numbers of new airliners and airports in Africa isn't that small. Don't trust the rumors, it's shit.

Wow a really nice unique trip report. I was really impressed with that business class cabin, blows most European airlines out of the water. And WI-FI also, looks like a fun airline to fly, If i'm ever around that way I would love to try them. And the Free food, not much to look at , but at least they gave you something.

Is rare that Simply aviation make a trip report of an african airlines, great job

Today with smart phone one hardly cares for inflight entertainment. But greeting with a meal and water is always a blessing. Noticed Africa and Asia are more gracious.

I am born and grew up in Africa, I have been to countless amounts of airports in my life but never would I have expected to see such clean and organized airports in Cotonou and Abijan, I was expecting more chaotic and less modern terminals/gates from Western Africa. Cool vid, sure are an example to other western and central African nations!

Nice report. Excellent service on this short flight. Very nice and modern ern looking cabin.

Well, Cotonou airport may be nothing special, but it looked pretty decent to me, and adequate for its passenger volume. That's more that can be said of many African airports in much larger countries and capital cities. I'm Brazilian and Benin was the source of many slaves sent here in that shameful episode of human history, but the result is that many of us here have Beninese blood (probably even I, with my deceptively sheet-white skin, as most of us are mixed-race to some degree), there was considerable influence from them in the formation of our national culture, and in Benin there is also a sizable community of descendants from returned freed slaves from Brazil with Portuguese surnames. So, there are many affinities and it's one of the parts of Africa that I'd like the most to get to know. Air Côte d'Ivoire also appeared to offer a very decent service and Abidjan airport seems to be up to international standards. It's heartening to see signs of progress in Africa. Even if, as in this case, they benefit only a small fraction of the population, they still give some hope for the future and show that things are possible.

Awesome video man, its nice to see trip reports from countries other than Europe from time to time. Specially Africa, they re very rare.

Remarkable! Great report like the previous ones. Even greater knowing you flew on one Air Cote d'Ivoire that I really like for my travels in West Africa (as possible). Watching this report gave me a clue of what to expect when flying on their new airplanes like this a320. Good job. Tip: next time you fly in to ABJ, try and get a window seat on the right side of the aircraft. The view is better :) Keep it up and as Jeb Brooks says, see you in the skies.

came across this video as I was scrolling through and have to say great video - good photography and overall review. They have a great A320 product and the power and USB outlets are a nice touch - I had the opportunity to fly them in early 2017 due to technical issues (you can read the full details on my blog but overview is that they have horrible ground service who cannot handle delays). On the brightside is at the end of a 10+ hour delay I was able to fly on their A320

Another great tripreport as always! You should try British Airways direct flight from London to Nashville, TN, USA. The route just opened in May and is operated by a 787-8 (95% of the time). I live in Nashville and am an avgeek so it is cool being able to see the 787 fly over on a regular basis! I love your videos, keep up the great work!

Paris CDG - Boston BOS with AirFrance B772 -- OR -- Detroit DTW - Paris CDG with Delta B763 -- BONUS -- Orlando MCO - London LGW with Virgin Atlantic B744. Talk about it with David, it could be nice. Oh I forgot, everything in economy, you'll be comfortabe, trust me.

Thinking about doing Orlando to Gatwick next summer...the other ones are too similar to existing reviews, so I can't give them priority. We already published a review from the US to Paris on AF's B777-300 and from Paris to the US on Delta's B767-400... :)

There is nothing illegal with that, as long as North Korea's own formalities are followed. There are many countries that ADVISE against travel to North Korea, but as far as I know, South Korea is the only one that BANS it outright (and even there, some exemptions are possible). And there are many travel agencies in Europe and China specializing in tours of North Korea. But precisely because everybody's so curious about Air Koryo, there are tons of reviews of it out there already, both in video and in blogs. It's unlikely that service has changed much. And all reports I've seen are unanimous in saying that it's definitely not as bad as the fame goes, being the only 1-star Skytrax airline and all. Air Koryo is usually punctual, on-board service is restrained but courteous, the planes are outdated but not really uncomfortable. Besides, most foreign visitors fly from Beijing, which is only a short hop from Pyongyang anyway. I have seen many reviewers saying that they have had much worse flights on some 3-star airlines from developed Western countries - and it's probably better than Ryanair or Spirit (though, of course, that's not saying a lot). The only real negative points are the abominable food (but at least there IS food), the annoying "heroic patriotic" anthems played as background music all the time, and of course the dreary destination itself.

Nice trip report... Will you do Aruba Airlines in the future?

They're in the national colours and I think the airline's done a spectacular job using them in its designs, both outside and inside.

Congratulations, I am pleased to read that we will have many more videos of african airlines. Please also walk through America, it would be interesting a video of BOA, the flag airline of Bolivia, for example.

Thanks for that, I really like these less usual airline reports. What a fantastic airline with good looking business class, nice colour choices and funky FA unifrorms. The newer A3xx wing tips are good looking too. Can we swap this airline for one one of European ones, naming no names ;) Or would that be too mean on the Ivory Coast? More please!

I love Simply Aviation videos but I do wish you'd say why you're flying the route - ie - is it for holiday, work, fun, to connect. I find it interesting as to why someone would be flying this route or any other.

I recommend Heathrow. CDG is indeed very confusing as it has a horrible layout. Heathrow is more sturctured and has excellent signage! :)

UPDATE: At the end of 2019, Cotonou's airport started undergoing major renovations which allow the airport to recieve more airlines and more passenger, as well as modernize the airport (There's now self checkin kiosks, flight trackers everywhere in the airport, modernized lounge for Business class passengers and more)
