My first thought seeing that graph was "how does this compare to Hola?" Thanks for the comparison. This set looks really decent for the price, especially with that build and decent stock cable.

Wasn't my first thought actually but listening to it, you hear it quickly. I thought the Hola was a cool shell too, just not in the same way as a full metal build. Those sets are tough to think about as the treble is dropped, but never clear how your music will land in the peaks and valley.
Thanks. Probably a set that suits me.

I don't know what to call the group, no fatigue gang, but there are lots of people who get along better with a more relaxed treble.

Really nice review bro, as usual, in depth easy to understand breakdowns. I just received my set, it was only 10 bucks. Its a really nice sounding IEM thats actually well built too. I came to this review after looking at the graph on your site and wanted to know what the vent tuning was. I kinda like that graph more since it has more bass even tho out the box the bass is good and slams good too. I dont have that micropore tape, is there a substitute for it or should I just buy some of that tape?

Micropore tape is cheap-ish. Why it is used is because it is very porous. You can actually use clear tape on the front vent below the nozzle, but some chance you will get pressure build up. Micropore reduces bass venting but still allows pressure reduction or flow. Micropore also is for skin so the adhesive is easy to work with. There are various versions of it but I use 3M micropore as that is what everyone else has used for years.
Wow, I was literally going to ask you how to increase sub bass. This set is on the way 😎

Use something porous like micropore otherwise you can build up pressure.

@@PaulWasabiiHigh volume crew here 😁I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy this set stock. I tinkered with a few mods and just didn't care for the change in the signature. Covering vent initially sounded good to me probably due to bias, but as I listened more I notice it did something weird to the rest of the frequencies. I usually run my EQ with a 2ish dB subbass boost since it's something I find generally lacking the last couple years. I'm a basshead so a different type of tuning is really what I needed and I have better basshead sets. For $10 this was a steal. If it goes on sale again, may have to pick up the silver one. Build is excellent. Same sale I repurchased the DQ6s which does sound like all 3 drivers are kicking. Added a bit of med high density foam to nozzle and now it sounds like to Fudu. They graphed similarly before the mod but I'm starting to see what a difference 2db can make. I added a metal mesh to the nozzle of Fudu just to test the theory that they don't impact sound, brought out more details. So yeah, a couple dB is impactdul. The mod madness continues 👍

Definitely sounds better than Hola. Vocals have more presence, more realistic. Piccolo has better details overall too. I returned Hola, kept Piccollo

Yeah I've been out of the audio scene for a while as I already got a pretty good audio setup I'm satisfied with, I'm no expert, but I judged from the thumbnail for these to be like 1000-2000 dollars in price just from the looks alone :D

Right, considering there wasn't much marketing around if, the build is kinda crazy and 11mm DD. Not sure why they chose to go low key marketing other than they thought it would sell better in another region. It appeared in Japan first.
11mm DD

Sorry about that, you are correct. I'd still like it if it was 10mm.
which is better on technicality (soundstage, imaging, etc) for EW200 vs tripowin Piccolo?
@PaulWasabii
8 ай бұрын
You have two different sets as EW200 is brighter, is going to have a more technical sound just because of the level. With Piccolo, it is there, but in more relaxed form. Most people would gravitate to Piccolo unless you are a lower volume listener then EW200 would be fine. Some people just avoid brighter sets, but those tend to sound more technical at this price point.
How about this vs blon z300 and tin t3 plus?
@PaulWasabii
11 ай бұрын
Kinda hard to remember t3, but that tuning is almost the middle between Piccolo and Z300. Z300 is a bit more fun, tilted to have a bit more bass, less lower treble. T3+ should be balanced with bass and lower treble. Piccolo is lower bass, more lower treble. Generally Piccolo is just a bit cleaner in that respect and a nice set, just doesn't have the bass quantity of the other two. Not far though,
Hello, please suggest me one between piccolo and waner?? Your suggestion will help me a lot
@PaulWasabii
8 ай бұрын
Piccolo's niche is that is a bit more treble relaxed than the others, less bright, that makes it a popular set. Both are fine and Wan'er is a great set, but if you like more volume, Piccolo might be a bit better. Lower volume, then Wan'er. Both are good though.
hi! which one would you suggest between tripowin piccolo and the kz castor harman? i listen mostly to rock/metal

Piccolo. It was on sale recently, quite a few people bought it discounted. It is a nice set that didn't get much attention
I'm eyeing this set but my budget is around 80 USD. Should I look somewhere else?
@PaulWasabii
Жыл бұрын
Last year, the gap between $30 and $80usd collapsed. That is why there were so many sets hitting the middle of that bracket. There was no benefit to spending $80 over $30 other than a nicer looking metal shell. Now you have lots of $30usd sets, SIMGOT EA500 at $70usd, and then Olina SE at $100usd. So I'd stick in the $30 range and wait for another great set in that $80 range later, if it happens.
