So ammo unload and reload have these phases : starting to unload, attack animation (include charge ups like frank and projectile movement), attack cooldown and starting to reload If the brawler has attack cooldown, then spamming the auto-aim and constantly emptying your ammo bar will cause you to shoot less in the span of time. Instead you can wait for around 2.8 ammo to be reload then unload three at once and you'll get a higher damage output overall If the brawler has no or very little attack cooldown or high reload speed like Mortis or Edgar, then spamming the auto aim will cause very little loss Overall, this doesn't really affect your damage output very much except for amber, she has 40 ammo and although she can unload all of it very quickly, if you continue attacking while she is out of ammo and reloading, your dps will reduce drastically.
