The promo decks aren’t officially legal until 1 week after BT14 releases. Not sure why, but that’s Bandai’s official decision

That applies too for bt14 itself, product is legal for oficial bandai tournaments after 1 week after release (this changes for locals as it usually legal with street date)

also bt14 is not playable until they release bt14. the promo deck is free with the box

Ok so in general, Digimon have a lot of branching evolutions, which is a thing that came from the virtual pets. Most of the Digimon Adventure cast didnt actually GET megas in the main show so they’ve gone back and forth in various media. There’s a few things that implies Zudomon would become Plesiomon, namely various virtual pets, but Jo’s Gomamon has consistently had Vikemon as his mega, which makes the inclusion of Plesiomon in the set a little weird. This isnt the first time this branch has been referenced, though. There was a Plesiomon released to go with Gomamon all the way in set 1.

It probably has to do with the fact that Vikemon is also the mega for Shakkoumon so they might be saving Vikemon for that set

Isn’t it the other way around? Gomamon’s Mega has been consistently Plesiomon until recently.

In fact in some wonderswan games Jo's Gomamon evolution was Plesiomon

Kokuwamon def gives blocker. Thats why its sick

I'm extremely excited for both building DigiPolice and Fenrir. I'm not super happy that they've made the rookies SRs though. It looks cool, but it's going to make collecting the full lines to play the decks so much harder. It reminds me of in Yugioh how they'll often make the main low level searcher cards the higher rarities instead of the big boss cards, because they know that the big boss cards are useless unless you also have the lower end stuff as well. These boxes are going to sell like crazy so the prices shouldn't be too awful for singles, but it feelsl ike there's going to be a LOT of rare cards to collect for these decks. Fingers crossed they don't powercreep the cost of the game lol

As someone going for a Fenrir deck, I'm kinda worried about the lack of cards for that per box 😅

I think this is the most excited I have been for a Digimon set

Joe's Mega and (Hi)Kari's Mega was Plesiomon and Magnadramon for their lines. Vikemon and Ophanimon werent yet created. Vikemon was created to be Shakkoumon's Mega. But Bandai made Gomamon line having Vikemon as Main Mega na Plesiomon as Secondary or alternative Mega. While Reboot Hikari changed to Gatomon's Mega being Ophanimon as Mega and Magnadramon as Secondary or alternative Mega. Meanwhile Shakkoumon still has Vikemon as Mega and Bandai didnt yet created a New Digimon for it or make the fan option ClavisAngemon into Shakkoumon's Main Mega. (It's also one of the reasons why Shakkoumon is can controversial even if it didnt do anything wrong.)

Actually ophanimon was the mega since tri and many of the games use ophanimon as gatomon mega before that so it was before the adventure reboot

Some things to point out for Green-related builds besides Bloomlord and/or Rosemon Decks: -Kunemon is an excellent Insectoid + Green Lv3 as it provides more consistent search power for Green, especially for Insectoid-related Decks when also using the Kokuwamon package -While Togemon is mainly made for Rosemon/Bloomlord, Togemon's ability to help play Tamers for free makes Green Hybrids even better -Dokugumamon's ability to suspend a Digimon while also stunning 5000 DP or less Digimon on your opponent's next turn is pretty good, might be a niche tool box for Grandis and Insectoids in general Overall, some of the Green cards will be really helpful for both my Insectoid + Green Hybrid Decks. I cant wait for BT15 for the long-awaited new Tentomon cards.

I think from other box openings I’ve seen the normal is 7 sr’s 1 alt and 1 sec but that might be 1sec/1 en exclusive

Digimon doesn't have specific linear digivolution lines. Both Vikemon and Plesiomon are possible mega digivolutions from Zudomon.

All I care about is the D-Brigade cards. One of my favorite decks

Usually one SEC per box, yeah, and (excluding alternate art versions) there's usually only two SEC cards per set.

Does the demo deck come with a box or what bc my locals might not get this for pre release

Yea, it is supposed to be handed out by your local game store for every box you purchase.

Ok so can you use the other versions of the cards in the demo deck or do you need the exact card from that demo deck if you wanted to play in the ultimate cup? I just notice the digivolution cost is update like in bt14? Love the content btw Avualt!

I believe you can use any version of the card as long as it has the same card code. But if anyone else can confirm that for Ultimate Cup, that would be great!
