Yes she's rough but I love trails like that, keeps the bugs off the tracker haha. Funny thing is I painted it 2 or 3 days before this trip lol. Trying to get s9me people together to do a trip in to the crash site when the snow goes if your interested in going, should make a good video this time with drone footage!

OH MY! What a coincidence I have started looking for info on the crash of 1946 yesterday on google . I remember my mom telling me that story of that plane that crashed killing all people aboard . MY grandfather had gone up there sometime after the crash , not sure if he was hunting or intended just to go up there . He bought back some plates that he found at the site . My mom was just 10 when that happened , the plates were passed down to her . I remember seeing them too. Not sure if she still has them or not . Those poor souls were headed for Germany. They never made it . Mothers and children mostly. Is I remember years ago people said “ it’s too hard to access the crash site , u less you have a helicopter maybe . They buried everyone there and crosses were put on the graves . They now have a memorial stand with all their names on there I do believe. , from what I’ve read in the reports.

The grave yard at the top of the mountain is for show as a memorial , no one is buried there , after the crash , all the bodies that was found were buried in a mass grave below the impact site , not on top of the mountain , Then twice in the 50s and 70s the mountain was dynamited to cover the wreckage and mass grave , but all these years later , and i was told this by the guide who takes people up there , that stuff is starting to come to the surface ,again .The guide said from Noels pond to the crash site is about an 8 hour walk .. The road from black duck siding well only go so far in and you have hike the rest of the way , but it only takes you to the top of the mountain where the memorial site is ( grave yard and plaque )is but again no one is buried there , all are buried below the mountain near the impact site and covered up with rocks , etc, . You can get to the crash site from below but it well take hours .

Yes there's quite a story behind this plane crash and quite a bit of information about it online. I do believe the crosses are just as monuments but not 100 percent sure. I was also told they buried the plane on sight but alot of it is sticking out of the ground as the years passed by. It's rough hiking in there but definitely doable, hopefully I'll get in there for the part 2 video soon!
