TRIP REPORT | United Airlines 787-9 | Singapore (SIN) to San Fransisco (SFO) | Economy Class

A couple months ago, I had the chance to fly on one of the worlds longest flights - from Singapore to San Fransisco on United Airlines Boeing 787-9. United operates this service twice daily in each direction, one leaving during the day, and one leaving at night. I was originally scheduled to fly on the daytime flight, but made a last-minute change to the nighttime flight, since it was the only flight that had seat 42A available. Seat 42A is by far the best seat on the plane, and my Star Alliance Gold status allows me to select this seat for free. A great deal, considering that it normally costs over 200 dollars to reserve! For the entire flight, I payed 33K United miles, plus a little bit in taxes and fees. It is a great deal, and I wouldn’t hesitate flying United across the Pacific again!
Despite it being dark the entire flight, I did manage to get some footage showing my experience. Enjoy this short recap of my flight, in addition to a brief peek at two of the lounges that I visited at Changi Airport.
