Today I am flying the world's busiest air route, from Seoul to the Korean island of Jeju. The route is currently operated by eight airlines! Besides the two large Korean airlines Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, six low-cost airlines compete on the route. Clearly, densely configured narrow body aircraft serve the majority of flights to Jeju. However, Asiana Airlines operates an A330 on some departures, creating a unique opportunity to fly a widebody on a short domestic flight. The aircraft even has a relatively decent, although dated, business class cabin!
