I absolutely love this little airport! It is quite a gem! With this being here, I don't have to use Orlando International Airport about 60 or so miles away. I come to Melbourne, Florida every June for my annual summer one week vacation here. Melbourne is very close to the beachside community of Satellite Beach, Florida. I lived there from 1969 to 1971 as a child in elementary school when my late father was in the Air Force. We lived in the old Patrick Air Force Base south housing units which is in Satellite Beach, meaning the base itself. In previous years when I went there, I used Orlando International Airport and stayed in Kissimmee, Florida because I had no idea that Melbourne had its own airport. So it took me like an hour to drive out to Satellite Beach from Kissimmee back then. Now that I stay in Melbourne, I can drive to Satellite Beach from there in a matter of minutes! Yes, both baggage check-in and TSA security is very quick at this airport being it is nowhere near as crowded as the other major larger airports like Orlando, LAX, Chicago O'Hare, and the like. Not as many airlines operate out of here like at the bigger airports. No they do have the monitors to look at like the much larger airports do for arrival and departure information. But when you get or already have your boarding pass, you just go to your gate and either they will tell you or it is listed there. Even the rental car counter lines when you land and pick up your car are relatively short unless there is a crush during the busy holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas. It is just not as hectic and easy to navigate your way around there due to its size as I mentioned. This is a nice video. I hope you liked using MLB!

I went on a night flight from MLB to BHX in August. I went on a TUI 787-8 out of BHX and out of MLB. It’s amazing

I flew about a month ago to Cancun with tui on the 787 Dreamliner , and I have to say that it made Ryanair look sparkling clean. The aircraft was disgusting and when you have to spend 10 hours in sitting in filth it certainly wasn’t the best flight I’ve ever been on. With all that , I was pleasantly surprised at the services throughout the flight. Just a shame that such an advanced plane is so mistreated , I think I have seen trains cleaner than the cabin.

MLB departures are all sorted now - more shops & plenty of seating - flew from there to UK 2 weeks ago - 3 x TUI 787's left in an hour & MLB handled that no problem

On our tui flight back from Mauritius the plane was in a disgusting state. Just glad I got some wipes to clean around our seating area. The toilets were just as bad if not worse. Food was ok apart from the breakfast toastie.

We flew to Melbourne from Manchester on G-TUIJ on May1st. Its called Pixie Dust. Nice plane.

good video but for those that are not quite that quick at reading you should leave you captions on longer

I dont mind Tui,flew with them 3 years ago to Corfu,and flying with them next year..The area around the bathroom sink looked grubby to me..

We flew in the premium cabin in June. The plane was filthy. On our return flight the steward was a right misery, he was for ever combing his hair and stood behind the curtain drinking the mini jack daniels. When he brought breakfast he practically threw it at you. The breakfast was uneatable. The only good thing was the lounge at Melbourne, food and drinks very good. Come on TUI you can do better. 🤞😎

ive seen a few videos where the plane looks filthy, flying from london to phuket in march. hopefully they clean it

I’ve never flown the “Dreamliner” but it looks no different from the other aircraft I’ve had the displeasure of being crammed into.

Totally agree…other than more perceived ceiling room due to the cantilever overhead storage bins it’s the same as every other aircraft. No room, a bit dirty and the usual groans and moans from your fellow passengers and their little angels.

Was on the first transatlantic tui flight here back in March

Its really annoying how the crew can lock the dim feature on the window during the night flight on the Dreamliner, I mean when you have your window open during the it doesnt produce any light but you can have your in seating tv screens on watching movies so whats the difference?

Exactly, I myself like to look out the window even if it’s nighttime passengers that want to sleep can use eye masks provided by the airline.

Always like to know what the food is like. No Fanta orange that is tui off my flight list. Not being critical but need to sharpen up the whole video presentation and watch the spelling. All makes for a more professional experience. Good to see a video for the vast majority of air passengers and not ones in First and Business Class! Look forward to the next one.

Used to build dreamliners and live in Melbourne.

Hi, if you can get a fast pass or something at Manchester Airport, that will almost definitely help you pass the long queues I had back in June, there are no shops around the arrivals area at MLB

@@lindadasilva5493 fast track, can be booked I believe but since you are flying tomorrow you would need to check with TUI to see if you can buy them if yous want, come with an extra price however

Tbh the airport had nice AC on with the aircraft fairly cool until the GPU (ground power unit) broke down which provides power to the aircraft without the aircraft needing to use its own power

Bloody awful… the cost of extra leg room seats sucks and everyone is squashed in the seats that are WAY too small. It’s no different to a basic Ryan air

I won't fly on the 787 because I need to have control over my window shade. Oh, why do airlines need to close the blinds at night? Its DARK outside anyway! It sounds like TUI aren't too interested in the presentation of their aircraft. Dirty and grubby seems acceptable for them. A nice report and, just a note, there's no "s" in aircraft. The plural of aircraft is... aircraft. Just sayin'
