Trip Report: British Airways A321Neo, London Heathrow to Warsaw Chopin Airport, Poland

Hi everyone and thanks once more for tuning in to my channel! And a massive hello to all you subscribers new and old - I really appreciate your support!
This is a new upload of my trip report in a British Airways A321Neo, London Heathrow to Warsaw Chopin Airport, Poland in Autumn last year. I had a great time in Warsaw and a lovely, smooth flight over to start the trip. The aircraft was super-clean and less than a year old at the time of filming. You will also notice the free snack service which was offered during the flight.
I talk a little about the BA tier programme benefits in the commentary and I’d like to know what you think? I’m sure there’s a few ‘gold members’ amongst you that can advise!
Also, what do you think about Warsaw? There’s another video already on my channel regarding the city itself which I’ve linked to at the end. I really liked it and Warsaw Chopin Airport itself. I definitely want to go back to Poland again soon.
I hope you enjoy the content and, if you haven’t subscribed to my channel yet, please consider doing so. It's all my own work and I’ve got a few more trips coming up soon which I’ll love to share with you guys! As always, your comments (good or bad) are most welcome (I read and reply to every single one)!
Thanks for watching and cheers for now! Mark

The service on board was better 20 years ago. I still remember that I got lunch and beverages when I flew to LHR. The only reason why I fly with BA is that they fly into LHR. And at the moment you can only fly from Berlin to LHR with them. There used to be a LH flight operated by BMI but it was years ago.

Yes agree. I’m off to Malta next month in ClubEurope so it’ll be good to see if it’s back to normal(ish) food and drink on board. I will be expecting a couple of glasses of champagne! No Lufty to LHR from BER then - I am surprised by that.

Excellent trip report. I’m with you, if biccies are being offered there needs to be tea or coffee served. It’s just good manners.

Thanks Tim! Yeah, you can’t be drinking water with biscuits - or crisps really for that matter! Looks like BA are going to carry on like this though and when the buy-on-board comes back you’re gonna have to pay for different drinks. Might just have to stick to business class in the future 😉

I do love travelling. And before the pandemic, I travelled internationally quite often. STILL, I have a fear of flying. However I do love watching videos such as this. This was a fun video to watch. I am keen to read what people say about moving up the hierarchy in British Airways frequent flyer schemes.

Hi again Debra. Yes, I’d love to travel internationally myself atm but it’s really difficult. I have two trips booked in business to the US in the next few months but Biden doesn’t seem in any hurry to open things up unfortunately even for double vaxed (like me). So it’s really hard to even stay on the tier I’m on (silver) let alone move up to Gold! It was a lot easier to get anywhere last year.

I like fun facts mate, you must let me know what you were doing! I put some footage on one of my earlier videos where I went up the super-fast lift to the viewing gallery. I’m assuming you had chance to do that - a beautiful building with some fantastic views. Loved Warsaw!

A sandwich, with tea, coffee or juice should be offered. I don't know why one meal is no longer offered on short haul? It's not like the flight is £2 it is still £100 to £200 per person. You can get a sandwich and tea on a train. I only expect two or three meals on long haul.

Hi Ethelthecat (1), thanks for contributing. I think the ‘buy on board’ is coming back but yes, that’s extra. For the price paid (about £45 o/w if I remember) well I’d be happy with a snack as long as you get tea/coffee and that should be expected on the legacy airlines at least. I had a trip with Swiss last year (see my earlier video) where tea/coffee was offered and coronavirus wasn’t used as an excuse. We had wine too on the way back. Maybe things will improve soon - I hope so!
