Trini Garlic Sauce Recipe by Chef Jeremy Lovell | Foodie Nation

Yield: 6 Servings
Prep Time: 20 mins
Ingredients:
 Chadon Beni - 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
 Pimento Peppers - 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
 Salt to taste
 Sugar - 2 tbsp
 Fresh Lime Juice - 1 tbsp
 Black Pepper -1 tbsp
 Garlic - 1 cup (finely chopped)
 Red Onion - 1 cup (thinly sliced)
 Chive - 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
 Water - Approx. 2 cups
 Mayonnaise - 3 cups
 White Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Method:
 In large blender, add all ingredients.
 Blend until mixture is smooth.
 Remove from blender and put into bowl or bottle, cover and place in the refrigerator.

    How long can this keep in the fridge? Can foodie nation do videos on food preservation? Both refrigerated and non refrigerated foods to store long term? I think we might be in need of methods like that pretty soon

    I use sour cream. For people who don’t like mayo. Sour cream give it a tangy goodness.

    Trinidadians call green onions "chives", even though they're not chives. Though they both belong to the Allium family, they are two distinct varieties, but for some reason they just call them chives.

    No not doubles... but it goes great with Fries, Fried Chicken or Fish, BBQ or Grill meats and even on Bake and Shark
