In conversation with Trinetra Haldar, an actor, content creator, activist and Karnataka's first transgender doctor. Trinetra talks about her transition from a doctor to an actor but most importantly opens up about her gender transition and all the challenges she faced growing up as a boy, being bullied in school, finding yourself and much more. She talks about the importance of being fearless, facing the world with confidence and loving yourself. Trinetra shares some post surgery care along with the importance of surgery being done for yourself and not to maintain the beauty standards that is decided by the world. She also talks about being an activist, educating people and how to react to transphobic people. Lastly, she talks about fighting all the battles, finding love and much more.

    It’s not fair to patronise “typical Indian parents “ any parent would or could react in that way no parents wishes in first place to have their kids born with gender issues . Which parent would want their kid to be born as a girl but identify herself he/him . TV pae bolna aasaan hai . It’s hard to accept even though 99% parents do but try to put yourself in their shoes ..

    You are right but sort of. Yes it's difficult for parents to understand these things and manage but then at the end of the day who has more mental capacity to deal with such difficult emotions? The adult parents or a child going through these emotions on a daily?
